Don't know the welder, but often there is a protection fuse on the circuit board. Check this one.
Also look for broken wires around connections.
If the machine is clicking, then it will be a minor problem.
Disconnect from power when you check inside.

SOURCE: MIG wire is always hot without pulling trigger

Check your manual, there are a lot of mig units on the market that are alway "Live" alternatively, the relay has either shorted or you have wirering problem on the switch.

SOURCE: mig welder powers up but only clicks when trigger is squeezed

1] Remove the power cable from the power. (socket on the wall) remove the top cover there should be a fuse located on the wiring panel.
2] perform all your house keping- like, all plugs and socket are tight, the correct contact tip with the the right wire size, roller/s are also the correct ones for the wire size and are turning if they are turning but not feeding the wire, then, the rollers need to be tightend , get back to us.

SOURCE: Wire does not feed on MIG welder

my lincoln mig welder did the same exact thing!! I thought what you did, drive motor bad. But it wasn't, on mine there is a reset/breaker button, it's like a 25 amp fuse that can be reset, it was bad! so I took the 2 wires that went in and out of it and jumped them together (not advised) to see if it would work then. BINGO!! now I have to find replacement. Look inside for a fuse or some thing like that.
hope this helps, oh yeah, when I ask the mechanic at the welding store he said that drive motors rarely go bad!!

SOURCE: northern tool mig welder,120 volt with gas.The

This welder is made in China. I have one and it works fine. Parts and service are available from northern tool. 1-800 # is on the book. FYI this 135 gas no gas looks exactly like the Lincoln SP135 and Lincoln workmate 135. GOTO the lincoln site and bring up the manual. It is a free download and is a much better manual than the one it came with. I agree with the previous post. Put a continuity test on the 2 wires that come from the trigger. there is a wire diagram in the book that came with it. Hope this helps.

I took it apart and saw all of the contact points where corroded. I can hold the knob between two settings and the machine will work.

I have the same issue only after about a year of very light use. I am not sure how to prevent this from happening again.

It won't arc without wire in it. If the motor runs then there may not be enough tension on the feeder wheel to push the wire thru. If you had a bad kink in the inner liner it will not feed. The trigger switch in the handle applies arc voltage to the copper nozzle. It may be bad or have a broken wire.

Wire feed speed was surging & now the motor just clicks & turns about 1 degree on the rollers. I suspect it may be the relay for the drive motors. Any help with this problem is...

To test your theory you'd need to check the voltage going to wirefeed motor with a multimeter set to DC voltage. This is dangerous as you'd need to have the covers off the machine. If the motor was getting voltage the whole time you pressed the trigger the fault would lie in your wire feed motor gear box. If it is a small mig welder, i would think from the sounds of your fault that it is the gear box that you're having trouble with. To find a replacement you'd need to write down the model number of the mig welder and order a replacement part through a repair shop.

Wire does not feed but you can hear a click inside the welder when you press the trigger.

Does the feed wheel move? If so adjust it's tension on the wire. If not, check for voltage at the motor. If there is voltage and no rotation, check for continuity of the winding, there should be less than 5000 ohms. If no continuity replace motor. If continuity- oil the shaft with light motor oil and see if it releases.

If no voltage is measured at motor connections, the fault is on the speed control board. check the fuse, and if that is okay, check the SCR(s) and replace if faulty.

My wire feed wheel on my lincon sp130 mig welder has ceased to turn. How do I trouble shoot if it is a burned out motor or something else?

Check the voltage at the wire feed motor while the trigger is pulled. If there's no voltage, it's pretty safe that it's not the drive motor.
Also, with the unit unplugged, check the big power (stud) diodes for shorts.
I had a wire feed motor stop because 2 of the big diodes were shorted.

The wire feed on my welder will not work.

Maybe you can get lucky like I did . Some times the acr volt selector switch gets corrosion in it and wont let the circuit board know to send power to the wire feed motor. You can cycle this arc volt. switch in my case it is the a,b,c,d,e, switch back and fourth a few times and this will brake the corrosion and your wire might feed again as mine did . This corrosion build up happens from not using and or sollecting the switch much usually on a welder at hm that gets very little use. it is common good luck .

Wire doesn't feed

Either the trigger mechanism in the gun is bad, the servo that turns the feed wheel is bad, or you have too much tension on the adjustable tensioner knob. Take the wire out of the feed wheel, plug unit in and see if you can get the wheel to turn. If not, it is the trigger or the servo. If it turns, the tensioner was too tight.

NO WIRE FEED BUT WELDER CLICKING AS IF FEEDING

This could be caused by not enough pressure on the drive wheel. Try adjusting pressure as spelled out in you manual.
