Question about Cobra Computers & Internet

Medicare problem - who to go to to resolve a problem which resulted in my having to pay a medicare insurance premium for two months during which I was insured under COBRA for almost $800 a month.

I initially enrolled in medicare with a start date of Nov. 1, 2016. I then made a written request to change my initial enrollment date to start Jan. 1, 2017. I received a new medicare card with the Jan. 1, 2017 start date. However, I cannot find it. This payment for insurance occurred because I mis-understood the payments I would have to make. I had understood I had no premium, which was wrong. In order to get my insurance re-instated after it was cut off end of February, 2017, I paid for January - March. When it was still not re-instated, I was then told I would have to pay back to Nov. 1st 2016 to get re-instated w/o having to wait for a resolution of my issue. I have been re-instated, but now want a refund of the $400+ I paid for November-December, 2016. Any ideas?

Has anyone asked Republicans if they have thought about the reason that some Dr's will not see Medicare patients is because the govenerm nt is slow and /or never pays them ?

The reason that some doctors will not see Medicare patients is that Medicare, as the nation's largest insurer, can negotiate much lower rates than private insurers. Some doctors can afford to pass on Medicare patients and just take patients with private insurance, which pays the doctors more.

Under Obama care is medicare going up in costs? They say it will go up approx $237 A MONTH AND effect people 76 and older.

Read this and decide for yourself. Most folks won't be paying any more than they did last year - at least for the Part B that Medicare directly takes from your benefit check. As far as supplemental plans and Part D premiums go, they are all over the board, with some plans going up quickly while others are holding the line.

I have read that medicare will not pay for cancer treatment for seniors over the age of 76 after 2018 as dictated by Obamacare,, is that true????

Definitely not true. But the type of Medicare insurance you have could determine your out of pocket expenses should you need cancer treatments. Most Medicare "Advantage" plans leave you paying 20% for outpatient services (this would include chemo and radiation) up to the maximum annual out of pocket amount. In 2017, $6,700 is the most you would pay out of pocket. Under Medigap Plans, such as Plan F, N, or G, that 20% is paid by the plan.
