Battery runs out fast

Many things can cause rapid battery drain. Ensure that you only have wifi enabled when you are using it, otherwise the phone will always be searching for wifi hot spots and this drains battery power. The same with bluetooth mode. If the phone is 4G capable, and it it turned on, it will search for 4G signals and use extra power. 4G uses much more power than 3G does, so if you don't need the extra speed, disable it when not needed. Lastly, if you are using your phone as a wifi hotspot for others, you are looking at definite battery drain there.

Why does my straight talk samsung galaxy s3 get so hot?

Lots of phones get hot, it all depends on what apps you have running and talk time. When you run wifi and bluetooth it uses up power an many phones run hot. In my opinion to hot. My Fire Phone runs hot and the battery lasts shorter than my older phone without all this extra apps. If you turn off bluetooth it will be less hot and if you dont need wifi all the time turn it off until you do need it. No way around this one.

Using battery quickly Thomson MID 1002

Have you tried turning off background apps.
Bring up your recent apps usage with the touchscreen button that looks like 2 windows, when you see the list of apps put your finger on one and swipe left or right ,this should close the app .
Try using Task Manager also to close anything unwanted.
Look for an app called" Wake Lock Detector" ,It can tell you what is running in the background using up battery power.
Hope this helps, even if it is a bit late.

Could be your charger (cord). Borrow another of the same type and try it. Make sure you aren't plugged into a power strip or surge protector.

Xperia Play Battery Drain and screen malfunction during charge.

Apps and services in the background drain your phone even while in standby mode. Turning off your 3G or 4G connection will deprive you of the internet but it will still permit you to get phone calls. Meanwhile, you are not having apps such as Google constantly draining your power in the background. And they are, even in standby mode. Charge your phone frequently to help preserve battery life.

Battery power just seems to drain away very quickly

Please check the voltage on the terminals of the battery in the phone. If the voltage is good then check the voltage on the battery, if low the battery is faulty as it may not be retaining the required current factor. Best way to confirm is to swap with one of your friend's phone.
If adapter voltage output is low , try and check with another adapter before it can be changed.
