The pressure hose fitting (AR114 power washer) refuses to stay in the unit.

It has worked in the past. Its seems obvious those clips on either side are intended to hold the pressure hose in place... but no go. Any help?

SOURCE: How do I remove the pin on my Rainbow Vacuum Model SE clips?

When I used to repair Rainbow SE vacuums for a living, I had a long nail of small diameter that I had filed the end off of just for this purpose. The pin you need to remove is grooved on each end to "catch" in the plastic housing, but a slight tap with a hammer, using this "nail" will do the trick. When you're ready to re-attach it, just tap it again to put it back in place.

SOURCE: Need a part for Homelite model HP3127S pressure washer - 3100 PSI

I lucked out when I managed to locate a local rent it centre who sells and services Homelite equipment. I bought my pressure washer at Home Depot and when I approached staff there regarding my problem, they had no idea if there even was a local dealer who sold/serviced Homelite stuff. telephone enquiries finally led to the rental place who ordered the part for me. I was getting concerned!

Install high pressure hose. Cannot get shaft of hose fitting to go deep enough into fitting so retaining clip will engage

There are several different configurations for these fittings. If you bought a generic replacement hose, it may have a different fitting than what is on the machine. May have to replace the fitting on the machine, or buy a hose specific to your pressure washer.

Install replacement high pressure hose

If you are replacing the hose because it burst you might contact the manufacturer. Mine, of a different brand, burst and they sent me a new pressure washer saying that it was very difficult to install a new hose. They had a lot of problems with hoses from China.

Whwn the washer is running. Getting a leak on the floor. Seems to get worse every time I wash.

need to remove front panel on washer usually 2 clips at top of unit between front panel and top panel approx 2 inches over and one on each side..if you stick a slim screwdriver in you can gently push and the clips will release allowing you to remove front cover.. once in there check the side of tub there is a small hose runs to side of tub assembly this is a pressure switch hose make sure it is connected and no holes in it.. if that is ok then check hoses going to tub and at the drain pump assembly.. may require you to start washer to check connections ... if no obvious leaks yet then fill washer and run through a spin cycle check pump assembly they are notorious for cracking or leaking ... hopefully you can find culprit this way... once you find source of water you can order parts from www.sears.com then hit the parts direct link up top it will go to a page you can enter your model number and find a parts diagram and price ...good luck to you

Pressur not costant

I have a SIMONIZ S2000 electric. I bought the unit about 8 weeks ago used it once. On the second use yesterday the unit didn't work as well, the pressure seemed only a bit better than hose pressure and soap did not dispense at any pressure. SO.... after much thought I turned the hose/tap pressure down so that I only got about 2-3 GPM instead of the typical 5-6GPM normally coming out of my hose....... it worked! Soap dispenses and spay is way better! It seems that if if the inlet hose pressure is high the pump doesn't work as well... go figure.

Power Washer has no pressure, any ideas

1. If you have an inlet chemical injection valve make sure that the hose is intact and that the valve is closed.
2. Purge all air from the line by holding the nozzle actuation lever open until all air has been purged. When you connect the water supply hose turn it on before connecting the high pressure hose and let the unit self purge to the pump outlet high pressure hose fitting. Then connect the high pressure hose.
3. You could have a stuck spring and ball inside the high pressure head of the pump. You can tip the unit on its' side and add a substantial amount of WD-40 to the water supply hose fitting in an attempt to free the springs and balls.
4. Try BRIEFLY running the unit without the hose connected to see if there is high pressure water ejected from the high pressure fitting.
5. Inlet water screen at hose connection is clogged (hose screen and rubber) Check screen for debris.
6. The water strainer is clogged. (Almost looks like an LPG regulator just after but in line of the supply hose connection to the pump)

Order of troubleshooting

1, 2, 5, 6, 4, then 3.

Thanks for using FixYa!
