SOURCE: bosch max wfl2000 washing machine

Just been through this with our Bosch Maxx, problem was the pump discharge pipe was blocked with soap deposits. I also removed the large black rubber pipe from the drum/pump and cleaned this out as well.
All working fine now.

SOURCE: Samsung washing machine J1453. Error

Had a same fault code and also sometimes had the reverse kept filling - soultion was that the small flexible pipe up to the pressure sensor had a crack (fatigue mahine was only 1.5 years old) in it next to the sensor - found it by sucking and blowing down the pipe while it was not connected to the sensor (with the electric off ) - Replacment pipe can be found at any good local washing machine parts shop/store

SOURCE: Front Loading LG Washing Machine leaves smelly sludge in wash tub

This machine has a tub clean feature that you're supposed to run with bleach. I did this and it helped the smell s bit. Recently we had an error code and the repair man that came to fix it gave me some good tips. His experience has been that the smell is from too much soap causing build up in the seal and along the tub. His suggestion was to cut back on the amount of he detergent (he said a tablespoon is sufficient). His company recommends using a product called Whirlout (you can buy it at Home Depot). It was originally meant to clean scum out of hot tub jets. Apparently if you call LG they will recommend this product, but haven't bothered to suggest it in the owner's manual. I was told to put one to two capfuls directly into the tub (not the detergent bay) and run the tub clean cycle. I used it last night and it worked - no more musty, yucky smell!

Remove the front lower panel, screws underneath. Be prepared for water, drain out from drain hose. Check filter for clogging, clean out. Sometimes when the load is unbalanced & the machine cannot adjust the load it stops. To avoid this make sure your wash is mixed with big and small clothes.
If this does not work remove the rear panel & check belt, should have half inch ‘give’. Still not good, remove belt, unscrew 2 bolts that hold the motor, unplug the motor connector, lever the motor back with a screwdriver. Check the motor brushes (at terminal end of motor), if they are any shorter than 1 cm replace brushes.

My washer wont rinse or spin and when its finished washing it gets to rinse cycle and beeps and error code e4 comes up i emptied clothes and it still wont work

No make or model came through with your question... so the FIRST GUESS... is ... THIS IS A NEW RELATIONSHIP with a "HE" (HIGH EFFIEIENCY) washing machine.

You can CONTAMINATE your machine quite badly by not using THE RECOMMENDED "HE" rated detergents... & CLEANERS.

These new machines will rapidly deteriorate in performance... if the APPROPRIATE (HE) detergents ARE NOT USED.

Sensors sample the detergent/dirt in the water to enable the wash cycle to adjust wash time & water levels...

By NOT FOLLOWING the INSTRUCTIONS you are risking PERMANANT DAMAGE to these sensors...

Read your OWNERS MANUAL... There-in (I believe you will find
HE cleaners (not cheap) are recommended to ATTEMPT to restore performance...

Else you are looking at an EXPENSIVE SERVICE CALL on a NEW MACHINE.. Who knows... MAYBE it will be covered under your WARRANTY... Stranger things have happened (these days).

Good luck with that.

Bosch Maxx 2000 leaves brown sludge on washing. Has it died?

Is the rubber seal around the drum perished or has it not been cleaned for while? The seal should be wiped out after every use, you may find it full of gunk if you run a cloth around inside the seal.

Smells grey sludge on clothes

its from all the old detergents not getting to the drain and lay in the outer wash tub,the smell is from mold starting to form in this gooey mess, you may need to remove the inner tub to get this goo out of the outer tub, then make sure the drain pump, hoses are also clean of this goop and there are no kinks,or blockages in the drain hoses or pump

Water leaking from drain pump when machine is empting

Make sure it is not the filter that is leaking.
Remove filter, and clean it thoroughly, icluding the filter seal, and the recess it fits into.
Check the hoses on the pump.
If it still leaks, then the only solution is to replace the pump.
Hope this helps you.

My Bosch washing machine is leaving sludge like marks on my clothes. Ran the machine at 90 degrees with soap but no load. Didn't solve the problem. Any ideas?

Make sure the draw is 100% clean inside the draw compartment to if the draw is all clean next thing to cheak is the rubber door seal make sure it is clean all the way round next thing to cheak is the pump at the front of the machine pull down the cover and undo the the pump cover by tuning anti clock wise water will come out when you cheaked it is 100%clean put it back together if you get stuck read manual if all toughs things are clean or bean cleaned. do a 90 again with washer cleaning detergent with you can buy at the super market hope this helped.

Bad bosch

The grey sludge may be due to incorrect soap powder (use only front loader) or excessive powder use. Minimise the powder use and insure you do a very hot wash once every 4 weeks to break down powder that may be building up.

Bosch WFMC 3200 Front Load will not pump water out

the pump gears could be stripped or clogged with soap residue including the line from the pump to include the drain hose itself. I took the back of my machine off after cleaning the pump twice to find the reservoir full of a brown soap gunk/sludge. there is also a small rubber tube that runs from this reservoir back into the drum which was plugged shut with the same gunk. this thick soap residue can damage the pump motor or slow the drainage system to get the E 04 warning. I cleaned the gray drain hose out with the garden hose and was amazed at the sludge that game out. When the machine would run on the drain cycle we would also get a sewage smell that I thought was coming form the drain trap but turned out to be caused by the sludge in the pump. After cleaning the system and now using no more that a tablespoon of soap it works great & the cloths are clean.
