It appears you must push up from underneath, either with a key that comes with the unit, or without the key if an insert has been placed in the keyslot.

Hope this helps.

On the bottom, behind the push lever, is a release button. While pressing the button, grab the top front and swing the cover down. After installing the refill, swing the cover back up and it will latch in place.

pull it open from the top... squeeze the top sides of the lighter part and pull it down like a drawbridge. If they installed it correctly, it wont rip off the wall.

The issue is the dispensing unit you have is a sanitizer dispenser, not a soap dispenser. The adapter collar on the bottle is the issue. Soap dispensers use a GRY collar, sannitizers use an LBL collar. There should be a sticker on the dispensing unit that says "LBL" or "GRY". Try removing the collar from a sanitizer bottle and place it on your soap bottle......should work fine. In short, make sure your letter code on the bottle mathces the letter code on the dispenser.
