Have you changed your door latch wax motor yet... If you have the brown actuator pin then you want to chuck that wax motor out of there quicker than spit! You want the redesigned wax motor with the black actuator pin. I know of folks where the wax motor failure caused the timer and /or water valves to act up... See for disassembly photos and other Neptune information.

SOURCE: Our hot tub uses a Waterway Pump. We emptied the

I have the same problem with one of my waterway pumps every time I drain my spa. It's an airlock that is fixed as follows. Remove any one of the three drain plugs in the outside plate of the wet end (preferably the lowest). Let the air out and replace the plug when water runs through. Now the pump will work. WARNING: if you run the pump dry with the airlock you can damage the shaft seal and the pump will leak water.

SOURCE: just drained and refilled, plugged

Most hot tubs have a freeze protection that will lock you out and run the pumps full blast with no heater if the temerature is under 50 degrees F.The circulating pumps create heat until the water temp is above 50 degrees, and then the heater will come on after that.
Hot tubs do this to protect themselves and it is normal operation.

Air lock for my aruba spa hot tub how do i fix it

This sounds like a problem with the circuit board inside the spa control box.Do this:
  • Turn the breaker off
  • Unplug everything that is plugged into the circuit board i.e. the pump, heater coil, air blower, light etc.
  • Turn the breaker back on
If the circuit board stays on then you have to go thru the process of plugging one item at a time turning the breaker on then off to find the part that is bad.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
This is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- the hot water one. Sorry but it needs replacing and a service call to confirm that it is not something else- like the control board not feeding the correct voltage to the valve ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
