Krups ea8010 expresso machine The CALC light comes on when switching on the machine . Then after 1 min it's starts spraying water from the frother . And keep doing that every 1 min. What should I do ?

It seems like it is part way through the descale process, put 500ml of water in the tank and let it run. Once tank is empty after a couple of minutes it may detect nil water and request next part of the process. If not then brain may be scrambled which may involve a trip to authorised service agent.

What do you do when it says calc. on the display?

Calc is indicating that it's time to descale the lime build up inside your coffee maker. Most machines are easily cleaned by running a solution of 4 parts water to 1 part vinegar. Run this solution through a regular coffee cycle (no coffee). After running this solution, you may want to run straight water once more to ensure there's no vinegar aftertaste. Your machine will now be clean and the CALC message should disappear. If not, post back with the Model # of your Krups coffee maker for further instructions. Some machines have a Descale or Self Cleaning option built into them.

I would recommend upgrading the E80 and the DSM to the newest software levels:

E80 - 5.52
DSM - 4.12.

You can download the software off raymarine.com and load them onto different compact flash cards. Both softwares are upgraded through the E80 display.

The display reads CALC.

I have a Krups model FME4 and it means that you should descale the machine. Here's a link to the use and care instructions for my model, I assume it would be the same for yours.

My problem is that CALC continues to display even after I've descaled several times. Good luck with yours.
