The Hydrostatic transmission on my Lt150 mower is making a screeching noise when I push on the forward/reverse pedal. The mower will move very slow then stop. It is not the drive belt!

Check trans. oil for debris and quantity. If level is low try topping up first and if this works it would pay to disassemble in the near future, clean the oil filter and fill with clean oil.

X595 john deere pto wont kick in

These John Deere Garden Tractors have a RIO (Reverse Implement Option) on the PTO. If your PTO is engaged and you back up, the PTO will automatically stop. To reset it, depress your PTO engagement switch to the OFF position. Take your foot off the reverse pedal. Pull up on the PTO engagement switch. The PTO should restart. To use the RIO feature, pull up on the PTO switch for a second or two just before you step on the reverse hydrostatic pedal. The yellow RIO indicator light should come on your dashboard and you can now back up with the PTO still running. Works great for snow blowing when I don't want to keep resetting my electric PTO clutch to keep restarting my snow blower.

If your PTO will not restart, you may have a PTO switch starting to fail, or a likely logic problem in your electric PTO control module, or one of your forward/reverse indicator switches, which is linked to your PTO control module along with the overtemp circuit, is stuck/faulty.

I have a John Deere LT155. When you let off of either the forward or reverse pedal the tractor comes to an abrupt stop. It will actually lock the wheels.

Hi, most likely the brakes are hanging up. Follow the brake pedal path to the rear of the mower, it is attached to a small arm on the side of the diff that is probably locked forward. This lever and the pins behind it need to be freed up so the lever operates forward and backward freely when the brakes are applied and released. Hope this helps, regards Phil.

Mowing right along and suddenly the tractor won't go move

it's 1 of 5 likely things
The drive belt from the engine to the transaxle is totally slipping or broken
The linkage from the control pedal to the transaxle is faulty.
The transaxle is broken (not user fixable)
The by-pass rod is pulled out
The brake pedal is pushed or the linkage is stuck in the "brake" position.

Have a John Deere tractor LA145 Yesterday while mowing the mower blade suddenly stopped working. Turned on and off several times with no luck All pulleys and belts seem to be intact. There was nothing...

Either you need a seat switch or the reverse switch has failed. If the deck will engage while you are pushing down the forward pedal then the rio or reverse switch is not working or it's out of adjustment. If you can not get the deck to engage at all then the problem is likely the seat switch.

John deere 3320 starts up,engine runs, pto works however will not drive.error code 01 and 12 keep showing up

Both codes are related to the forward and reverse pedals. To cycle through and clear the codes, turn the key on and then press the forward pedal to the deck within 2 seconds and release and the do the same with the reverse pedal, the code should go away unless the problem persists. If so then you need to check the wiring to the potentiometers on each pedal and also check to see if one has been moved[knocked out of range]If none of the above is the case then either the forward or the reverse solenoids could be stuck there-by letting the tractor think you started it in gear, hence no movement, these checks are not really a do-it-yourselfer type checks so you may need to seek help from Deere, hope this helps, thanks.
