Question about Kenmore Refrigerators

The fourth digit after the prefix usually indicates the refrigerator capacity. It probably has 27 cu. ft. capacity. (If it is a small apartment size fridge would be a 17 cu. ft. model.)

I hope this helps.

Kenmore refrigerators indicate the capacity with the third digit after the 3 digit prefix; thus the sixth digit is the critical one. Since that is a 1, I suspect the 253.71132104 has a capacity of 21 cubic feet. (If this is an apartment sized refrigerator, it could be be smaller - 11 cubic feet.)

I hope this helps.

the '106' is because it is 106 cubic feet says one article, but another states 24 cubic feet :)

If you open the door and measure internal width by depth, multiply those numbers together, and then multiply that by the height in feet. This will give you the cubic feet. Or you can just compare with a similar model.

Use a Tape Measure:

Measure the Length, Width & Depth of the inside or outside and use this to calculate the cubic feet or meters.

It's a rectangle, so it's far easier than a circle.

To get cubic feet, you multiply the length of each of the three sides.

So:

If something is 1 foot by 1 foot by 1 foot, that's 1x1x1=1 cubic feet

If it's 1 foot x 2 feet x 3 feet, that's 1x2x3=6 cubic feet

and so on...

The third number after the period of the model number identifies the cubic feet. such as 106.2142234 your cubic feet would be 14 or 24 from there you should be able to tell if you have a 14 or 24 cubic feet fridge just by looking at how big it is.
