Question about Televison & Video
As long as the other buttons work on the remote, you can replace the remote with a universal remote, OR you need to open the original remote and clean the back side of the rubber buttons with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol. Dip the Q-tip in the alcohol, and rub the black carbon underside of the buttons, as well as the spot on the circuit board that the buttons touch to make the connection. You will notice some of the black carbon rub off- that's okay. You may notice some oil on the board or buttons. The buttons use the oil instead of springs and is supposed to be held inside the buttons- it's just a leak. Be sure to wipe the buttons and board dry with another Q-Tip. Then snap it back together.
