SOURCE: Bobbin Winder won't release

i have a husqvarna rose, i has the same problem when i started using my machine. i was suggested to not wind the bobbin so fast. the reason it gets stuck is because the thread is so tight on the bobbin it actually makes the bobbin a tiny bit smaller, making it hard to get off again. if you dont wind it so fast, it doesn't get so tight.

SOURCE: bobbin doesn't fill in bobbin winder

The bobbin winder question is a frequent one and it is very easy to solve. If you look at the shaft where the bobbin sits on the bobbin winder, you will notice that it has a slot in the middle of the shaft, an opening if you will. This is where you use a flat screw driver and open that space more to give more friction to the bobbin so it is not loose on the shaft. That slot was made for that. There are different bobbins on the market so thats why the slot is there. If it is too tight, grab a pair of pliers and close the gap. The metal of the bobbin winder on that shaft is malleable exactly for this reason. No need to put plastic bag material or anything like that. Use it as it was intended for.

SOURCE: singer 328k bobbin winder replacement

Follow these instructions, undo the 2 screws on the right hand side plate where the balance wheel is and take the plate off, undo the screw on the chrome stop motion wheel, undo the stop motion and take it off, take off the 2 pronged washer and notice which way it goes on, not a problem if you can't remember, you should be able to pull the balance wheel back so you can get to the screws on the winder, if you can.t and if you have a problem getting the balance wheel all the way then go the very bottom of the machine and you will see 2 big holes and one of the holes will lead you to a big screw and nylon adjuster, slacken the screw and move the nylon adjust so the belt goes slack, you can not take the balance wheel all the way off to get to the screws on the winder, take the old one off and screw the new one on, whilst you have the balance wheel off it would be wise to put some thin oil on the shaft before you put the balance wheel back on, when you have the balance wheel on and the and the belt round the pulley turn the nylon adjuster so the belt is tight and tighten up the screw, put the side plate back on, put the 3 pronged washer back on, put the stop motion wheel back on and just tighten finger tight then tighten the small screw.

Haven't used my Kenmore sewing machine #385.19153 for a long time. The display shows "bobbin winding" I don't remember how to change for simple straight line stich

Try pushing the bobbin winder spindle to the left. It's on the top of the machine to the right of the spool. When this spindle is pushed to the right, the sewing machine is ready to wind a bobbin. Once the spindle is to the left, you should be able to select a straight stitch (stitches 10-12), set the stitch length and check the thread tension.

See https://www.manualslib.com/manual/505279/Kenmore-385-19153.html?page=44#manual for a picture.

I hope this helps.

Need to know how to thread bobbin

manuals can be purchased @ janome. com. your machine should have a bobbin winder. Set empty bobbin on the bobbin winder pin. Thread spool of thread though guide(or tension wheel on the top of the machine;NOT the stitching tension.) wrap thread around bobbin to start, and push bobbin toward the flywheel. slowly press foot pedal and bobbin should begin to turn. apply more pressure to foot pedal to increase speed. When full, bobbin winder should kick back to stop.

Bobbin Winder Works--Stitching Does Not

The second microswitch that is located just to the right of the bobbin winder stop tells the machine that it is set to wind a bobbin.

If the machine does not indicate that the bobbin winder is engaged, the second microswitch is not the problem. The bobbin winder itself is what shifts the clutch. If it is pulled downward, the clutch is disengaged and the upper shaft does not turn. Place your thumb under the bobbin winder, push it upwards and the clutch automatically re-engages and the shaft will turn.

Be very careful with the touch screen cable with the front cover off. If it has the older style cable on it, they are very delicate when releasing and reconnecting. If you put the front cover back on and the touch screen does not work, this will be the most likely problem. You will need to have the touch screen replaced.

You need to get your bobbin winder turned off first, then worry about the stop contacting the thread. If the stop is not tripped, then it is in its normal position and everything should work fine.

When not filling a bobbin, simply raise the bobbin winder and you should be ready to sew. Look at the opening around the winder shaft in the front cover and you will need to have it up and to the right. Just push the shaft with your thumb.

Elna 6003Q Sewing Machine won't snap out of bobbin winding mode

I had the same problem and fixed it myself. Remove the portion of the housing that coincides with the bobbin winder. You will need to remove two screws to do this--one is just to the upper left of the bobbin winder itself, and one is hidden under the handle on the left side of the machine (lift the handle, and look on the machine on the left side.) It takes some coaxing to remove the housing, but it can be done--be gentle. If you need to, remove the housing on the left side of the machine that covers the needle assembly. This will make it a bit easier, but still, be gentle.)
After removing the housing, you will see a black metal piece with a elongated slot and a screw adjacent to the bobbin winder mechanism. Unscrew the screw a turn or two, and slide the piece to the other side. Tighten gently. Turn your machine on, and move your bobbin winder back and forth and watch the screen change from bobbin winding to the main straight stitch screen. Now, do a brief Dance of Joy. I hope this helps.

Self winding bobbin

I think you need to push the bobbin winder (with your bobbin on it) towards the handwheel. Press the foot pedal and it should begin winding. If this doesn't solve your problem, post back with more details of what you've done and the kind of problem you are having.
As a last resort, go to Sears and let them show you how to wind a bobbin.
