Question about Hardware & Accessories
The generator is a 6.5 KVR 240V with electronic ignition Australian standard. The most of AVR -3 for sell they have the same shape and size 250v470, the only difference is that, they have a single adapter with 4 wires and 2 single wires. My question is that can I connect the generator single wire to the spare one in the adapter? I appreciate you help

You will have to have schematics from the old wiring diagram. Then you will have to confirm its consistency with actual old wiring before you can be sure that the wires run to the proper places on the old heater and a/c system. This sounds like a gas furnace and is simpler than a heatpump. Once you know what distinguishes the wires with the same color, you should label them and then you may call them a different color if they were wired with wrong wire colors. You may be in luck if you go to the furnace control box an look at the terminals.. They are usually labeled with a R for Red and W for white and Bl for Blue and B or Black. If you have other colors on these then it sounds that it was wired with wire spare wire by someone who knew what they were doing but neglected to leave a path for someone else follow.
You may be able to use a continuity tester of circuit tester to id these wires that are in question...
ie, once indintified, you can match with the requirements of the new stat.

not to familiar with the generators however , I do know that the old style receptacle for 240 volts was three prong. Then OSHA got a hold of it and added a second ground to make it 4 prong, Thats why some houses use a 3 prong dryer cord and some use a 4 prong. hope this helps. and if it has 2 240v outputs BONUS they dont make em like they used to.

Testimonial: "Thank you for the answer. Electrical stuff is my weak link. If you need to know anything about investing in the markets I'll return the favor."
SOURCE: CASE WIRES TO PANEL1 CONNECTIONS
The hdd red wire gooes to pin #1 the hdd white wire goes to pin #3 the power sw orange wire goes to pin #6 the power sw white wire goes to pin #8 The reset sw blue wire goes to pin #7 the reset sw white wire goes to pin #5 the power led green wire goes to pin #2 the power led white wire goes to pin #4.
Now the layout of the pins is the long row (5) pins are the odd number pins 9 being the odd one and 1 is the other end of the row. 2 through 8 start at the pin accross from 1 : : : : . I hope this helps you.
