SOURCE: WHIRLPOOL DRYER GGW9200LW1 My whirlpool GGW0200LW1 dryer stopped

Reach inside and try to turn the drum by hand, it should have some resistance, if it spins free, you may have a broken belt or it fell off. There is a switch on many dryer that is attatched to the motor. If the belt breaks it triggers the switch which disables the motor and heater on the dryer. Also double check that model #, Im not finding anything under that #. thanks Dave www.washermd.com

SOURCE: dryer still wont heat

you could remove and bench test the theromostat. my kenmore would not complete the circut to heat at all with a faulty thermostat. Just use a jumper wire to bypass it and test it THERE WILL BE NO SHUT OFF COULD HEAT UP TOO MUCH IF LEFT RUNNING.

Michael, We are sorry to hear about your Dryer giving an error message. We would recommend disconnecting power from the breaker for at least a minute and then turning the breaker back on to do a master reset on the Dryer. If you are in need of help after trying the reset, can you please email us your address, phone number, the model and serial number, the website you were contacted on, Fixya, your review ID, and date of purchase to Whirlpool_Digital@whirlpool.com?

Our Whirlpool Duet dryer won't run. After selecting a cycle and pressing the start button, it beeps twice and the time flashes. what can we do to fix this?

Make & model # please. When the "time flashes" are you sure it is the time or is it an error code like F3 or maybe F10? Please advise.

Plug dryer in wall wont start

The most obvious thing to me is that the cord may have been loosened or damaged by the move, or the terminals in the machine may have loosened. Either test the cord on your "new" machine, or replace it with a known "good" cord. Wait a minute....you already have one of those....
Try it, it may be the very thing!

E-2 error code on whirlpool duet dryer

“E2” flashes if the thermistor has shorted.

The thermistor monitors the exhaust temperature
and cycles the high-limit thermostat on
and off to maintain the desired temperature.
1. Turn the dryer off but keep the electrical
supply connected.
2. Make sure that the dryer is empty and that
the lint screen is clean.
3. Close the dryer door.
4. Select Heavy Duty, Timed Dry, More Time
or Less Time, End of Cycle Signal (Louder)
and Start.
5. If error codes E1 or E2 flash on the display
after 1 minute and the dryer turns off,
the thermistor, or the wire harness, is either
shorted or open. Check the wire connections
at the thermistor or the machine
control electronics board. If wiring checks
okay, replace the thermistor.
6. If the dryer seems to operate normally, remove
the exhaust vent and start the dryer.
7. Select the desired temperature cycle to be
tested, and select 20 minutes of Timed Dry
heat using the More Time or Less Time
pushbuttons.
