Hey i rooted my android tab and its never been the same its stuck on android 3.0.1 can this be fixed?

Rooting a device always has the potential to turn the device into a 'brick' in some circumstances. Most good rooting procedures mention this, as well as steps to make a backup of the current system and how to recover from a failure to boot after rooting. There are also different 'mods' that can be tried to see if one of them will work in place of the one you first chose for rooting. These are all dependent on exactly how Android was modified for your hardware. Google 'rooting' and 'Samsung Galaxy Tab 101 Tablet GTP7510MAyXAR' and see what the articles say. You can also try a hard reset of your tablet and see if that does anything. Forgot screen lock for Samsung galaxy 10.1

A hard reset will do the trick.

    1. With the device off, press and hold Volume Up and Power.
    2. Release the Power button when you see the Samsung logo ( about 3 seconds), but continue to hold Volume Up until the recovery screen appears.
    3. Use the Volume buttons to navigate the menu and select wipe data / factory reset. Press Power to continue.
The Galaxy Tab should then go through the hard reset process ( formatting user data).
    4. When formatting completed, navigate to select Reboot system and press Power.

Can you upgrade Samsung Galaxy Tab OS 2.2 to OS 2.3?

Procedure to update Samsung Galaxy S with Gingerbread 2.3 version:

Before we proceed to the updating process, please note that your phone needs to be rooted because your current file system must be converted to EXT4 which can be done with the help of latest version of Voodoo Lag fix. Also you need to backup all your data as there is a high probability that you may lose data after the updation. And also you must have Busybox in your device.

    • Now, you need to copy the file system-dump-as-root.tar.gz on the root of your SD card after which you will have to run these commands,

    adb shell
    su
    cd /data
    mkdir gingerbread
    cd gingerbread
    busybox tar zxvf /sdcard/system-dump-as-root.tar.gz
    mkdir data
    busybox cp -a /efs efs
    sync
    reboot download

    • After this it is time to unzip nsonsgs.tar.zip to nonsgs.tar
    • Now, you will have to flash the kernel with ODIN client with NO PIT and NO Repartition selected. And this is it, Your Galaxy S will now run the Gingerbread 2.3 version. At any point of time if you wish to move back to the Froyo update then you just need to flash it again with the froyo ROM back by using the Odin but before that make sure that it must support the EXT4 file system or else your device may become unusable.

How to install a game on my samsung galaxy tab?

Well, there is a place called "Android Market" or similar.

If your desired game can be found there, simply download and install the game app and you can enjoy the fun.

If the game can't be found, or it requires a fee to play. You'll probably need to root the device. Here is a 1-click Android-Root solution for your reference.
