Shut down the laptop

Use a terrycloth towel lightly wet with water and a drop of dish soap. If it is dripping at all it is not good!

Wipe the keyboard lightly until the mess is cleaned. then use an air compressor, or canned air to dry the keyboard

Compressed air works well, blow it sideways across the keyboard, so that particles are not blown into the laptop.

If the keys needs cleaning, use a alchol soaked cloth and wipe light over the keys.

How do I remove the keyboard from Asus K50IJ ?

Try these steps:
1. Place your laptop on a clean, flat surface and remove all power sources from it. Open your laptop screen as far as you can.
2. Use the flathead screwdriver to pop open the hinge cover. Slowly and carefully pry it open from the right side to the left side, exposing the Asus keyboard screws. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws that hold the Asus K50IJ Keyboard in place. Keep these screws in a safe place.
3. Gently tug the Asus K50IJ Keyboard component toward your laptop screen. You are trying to pull it out of the slot that is located near the palm rest and mouse pad. It doesn't take much force, but you must be firm. Once you have pulled it out of the slot, you can lift it up and remove it from your laptop.

Hi - asus A3500E - nmjklop keys not working

You can try cleaning the keyboard with a can of compressed air which can be purchased from any office supply store many department stores, even some grocery stores.

If your laptop has a ps2 port you can use an external keyboard These ports are often marked by a small icon of a keyboard or mouse.

I do not recommend opening the case to check the electrical connections unless you are familiar with this process. Otherwise you could create further problems and void a manufacturers warranty

My Eepc Asus Laptop Keyboard is automatically typing letter A how can i solve this problem

Just pop the A key off with a butter knife or something flat. clean the rubber boot with warm water and replace. if that don't work, you need to get a new one. Some don't have the rubber boot. in that case you can use a que-tip with rubbing alcohol to clean under the key.

How do I remove the keyboard on my asus k60 to clean the keys?

This is a very delicate process and may lead to broken parts by inexperienced hands!! I recommend you pay an expert at your local laptop shop to do this for you as it shouldnt cost much, as it doesnt require a total strip down. Also if you break something theres another part you will have to buy. I have done this several times (Stripped laptops down) and I can assure you it is a delicate process.
