Question about Dell Dimension 3000 PC Desktop
I dont know how to restart my computer back to factory
First question should be why do you want to?
Control F11 while booting will get you to the Dell system restore but you will lose EVERYTHING. Windows system restore will allow you to roll back to a previous state.

There's two ways to reset your computer back to factory. depending on how the manufacturers designed your computer. If the manufacturers put it recovery partition on your hard drive all you have to do is you press the F11 or at F10 continuously on your keyboard as soon as you start the computer up all you have to do is follow the recovery instructions. If your computer does not have a recovery partition you need to reinstall your operating system with an OS CD If ITs windows xp your using you'll need to get a recovery disk from the factory or dell because if you buy a windows XP from the store and install it the drivers on the system get deleted the data recovery disk from the manufacturers or dell you'll be able to restore the drivers if it's Vista as far as I know with all my experience installing this operating system drivers usually don't get deleted it using the CD

Make copies of all things on your PC you want to save, such as photos, documents and other installed programs. Resetting your PC to factory settings will erase all data on the hard drive. It will erase anything that you installed on your computer after you received it.
Restart your computer.
As the computer is turning on, you will see a blue bar that says "Dell.com" across the top of your monitor. At this time, press the Ctrl and F11 keys simultaneously. If you wait too long, you will miss the opportunity to do this and will have to restart your computer again.
Click the "Restore" option when the next screen appears.
Click "Confirm." The PC will begin its resetting process. This process takes approximately 10 minutes.
Click "Finish" when the process is complete. Allow the PC to restart itself. Do not restart it yourself since it needs to run through its boot program.
Click "Yes" to allow the computer to restart. When it does, it will be at original settings, and you will see the "End User License Agreement" screen. Click "Next." The System Restore screen will appear, and the computer will do another restart.
Once it does another restart, click "OK." You have now reset your Dell desktop to factory settings.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response.
