Soil PH sounds a bit high - that will cause browning - you want your soil PH to be around 6.5 for good green cover

    try adding some lemon juice to water 1 part lemon juice to 20 parts water and wet the area around plant

Unfortunately,no not at this point.You will have to replace them.Next year use 1x2 stakes and build a frame to fit around and over the trees.Staple CLEAR pe tarp and you have an instant temporary green house.A roll of 100yards by 20 feet at Lowe`s is about 80usd,and can be reused.

ARBORVITAES Have brown leaves in center of plant and small cones on each tip of leaves at top of plant and they don't have new growth. Is there a treatment for this or should I just get rid of them.


The small cones on the tip of the leaves are new growth buds. Leave it a month before making a decision. Trim out the brown leaves now.
