You need to understand what you are asking. One is the Maximum Draw (20 Amp) which is quite Stout in the power usage. There are better "EFFICIENCY" Vacuum cleaners that use less power. What you should be asking yourself is what is a GOOD VACUUM compared to a GREAT VACUUM and what Vacuum will do its job and last. Then you have to take into consideration that if you do not take care of your Equipment, you can burn it up prematurely. SILVER KING/RAINBOW/KERBY are High end vacuum that you are going to pay well over $1000 for. You can go to Walmart and buy their High End vacuum for less than $200.... Your Call

Where can I get an on/off switch for an asda ud18005 vacuum cleaner

Try your local stores that sell vacuums 1st. Then try typing
"on/off switch for an asda ud18005 vacuum cleaner" in your search engine on your computer. You will find a company/store that can sell it to you online, with a small shipping charge. If you can find a number of online stores that sell it, compare prices with a few. Charges can VARY a lot.

Power is not coming on

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
If the vacuum cleaner motor doesn't run the on - off switch might be turned off or defective. Test the switch with an Ohm meter or continuity checker.
If the vacuum cleaner motor does not run the motor itself might be burned out. Check the power switch first to be sure the motor can get power. Then, be sure the motor shaft can turn freely, that nothing is obstructing it. If the motor can turn freely and is getting power but still won't run it will need to be replaced.

tear it down and clean the dirt and dust inside of it thoroughly. Also blow compressed air in the entire motor and circuit area at 5 PSI
Reassemble and it should work like new again

have a look at the switch first they can get worn but if thats not it look at the motor brush's if you have power to the motor but no "get up and go" no broom broom like! buy a new hover as a motor will cost you both arm's and one leg!!! plus its still needs to be fitted

My 4 yr old Nilfisk vacuum cleaner has been working fine up until now. But suddenly, it has hardly any suction power and also, hot air seems to be coming out thru the vents on top and also thru the space...

Hi there SmartAlec from Nelsonvacuums.com.au here.It sounds like a blockage of some kind. The best way to find it is to set the machine up for normal vacuuming and remove one component at a time until the suction returns. eg turn on and feel suction under floor head - not good? then remove the rod, then the hose.
Once at the machine on its own it gets a little triky as i don't know which model you have. However if you have a bagged model remove all the filters and the bag and retest. There will be at least 2 filters, one before the motor and one after (maybe under the vacuum or right at the back). If it is a bagless model even though the filter may look clean it is probably blocked with very fine dust. If suction returns when the filter is removed then you need to buy a new filter. I am a nilfisk vacuum cleaner agent so i can supply a filter for you.
If this still doesnt help you are welcome to call me if you live in australia my contact details are on my website www.nelsonvacuums.com.au.
Hope this helps !.
Happy vacuuming :)

I want to know the suction power of henry is it the most powerful

Because of the traditional means of suction, air watts can only be justified in vacuums like Dyson that have 100% suction all the time. Therefore even the most expensive bagged upright (or bagless that doesn't have Dyson technology) will lose suction the moment a new bag is put in. Don't believe that air watts are true unless you have a Dyson.

Volts to Watts

The conversion of Volts to Watts is governed by the equation Watts = Amps x Volts

The vacuum won't turn on

it could possibly be a short in the power cord. try replacing the power cord. if that doesn't fix it, it would probably be cheaper to buy a new vacuum cleaner.
