Question about Intex Pool & Spa

Pump on my Intex air mattress shuts off before the bed is inflated

The air pump on my Intex air mattress only pumps for a few seconds then I have to wait a few second and turn it back on for it to work for only a few seconds. This process is repeated for up to a half hour for the mattress to inflate. This has happened since I took it out of the box. Any suggestions?

The electric pump is not working. It just cut out.

Check your warranty to see if it is covered. Check any fuse first. Replace anything that looks burnt corroded. If all else fails replace the pump.

How to use pump to deflate air mattress

There is an intake port and an exhuast port on your Coleman quick pump. To determine and differentiate you need to turn it on and the one that is blowing air out is the exhaust that you would use to inflate the mattress. That leaves you with one other orifice that is taking air into the pump body. If you put your finger over that one it will suck down like a vacuum cleaner hose. That is the one that you want to attach the plastic adaptor nozzle to, and then hold the nozzle on the fill port of the air mattress. It will come down and into a vacuum state when it is all the way exhausted. Once completely deflated, they are much easier to fold back up and stow away. If you're at home and own a vacuum cleaner with a hose, save the batteries on your pump and use the vacuum cleaner. It will take about thirty seconds with that. Good luck with that.

Sounds like one of the inner chambers is broke, If that's the case you will have to replace the mattress.

Most air mattresses come with either an electric or manual pump. You simply attach the pump to the valve on the bed and inflate your mattress.

It leaks throu the pump

i've never heard of an inflatable bed that you leave the pump hooked up to. I would suggest pumping it up removing the pump and put the plastic plug back into where the pump was attached
