I don't see a place to hook up a hose for continuous run into the sub-pump pit. I removed the drip pan and still don't see a place to hook up a hose.

On some models a separate extension tube gets installed through a knockout on the back panel. The extension tube fits into the part where the condensate drips into the pan; the opposite end has threads for a hose. This tube (if applicable to your model) should have been in the box with the unit. There isn't any information on the brand or model you have. Looking at the instructions for your model should also provide an answer. If you no longer have the instructions, turn the unit on and try to locate where the condensate drips into the pan. The hose would have to connect from there.

Danby ddr5511r owner manual

Yess the DDR5511R has the drain hose connection inside the compartment where the water bucket sits. It is at the top right corner. You have to remove the water drawer to see it. At the right side of the unit (on the outside) is a small "door" that flips up so that you can feed a hose throught to the threaded outet inside. The drain hose is not supplied with this unit.

I have installed a hose for draining but the water still fills the bucket and shuts off when it's full. I have a Whirpool Gold Serial# NQE1RSA O61 or 061 I see no model number anywhere

Janice, the problem may be with the drain hose being to long (shouldn't exceed 48") or it and the hose connection on the unit is clogged. The hose is easy to check, by disconnecting it and either looking thru it or blowing thru it.

To solve the clogged hose connector and interior drain tubing, do the following:

Turn the unit OFF & unplug it. Using an appropriately sized, 18" long, plastic Zip Tie, carefully insert the tip of Zip Tie into the hose connection & interior tubing. Continue to push it in until you reach a bend in the tubing. You will need to gingerly work the Zip Tie past this bend, until it either bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Then slowly pull the Zip Tie back out while rotating (twisting) it. This will breakup any clogs. As you reach the inserted end of the Zip Tie, be prepared, as some water may follow. Reconnect the hose to the unit, plug the unit in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Set the humidity extraction level to 35% or Maximum if you have a manually controlled unit. Allow the unit to run, while you monitor the hose for water flow. It may take 5 to 10 minutes for water to start flowing.

NOTE: If you don't have a Zip Tie, you may use something similar ( i.e.a long pipe cleaner), but NO wire coat hangers.

I hope this helped you, Janice and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Do I have to do something, not mentioned in the manual to get my unit to drain out the hose connection. I know people are stupid, so yes I did open the connection and attached my hose. It has a bit of...

This is usually cased by either a clogged drain hose ro the hose connection and tubing on the unit is clogged. When this happens, water is diverted into the bucket.

First, turn the unit OFF & unplug it.
To unclog the connection and it's interior tubing. Disconnect the hose and using an 18" long plastic Zip Tie appropriately sized Zip Tie, carefully insert the tip into the hose connection and the tubing. Slowly push it in unitl you reach a bend in the tubing. You will need to gingerly work is past this bend, until the Zip Tip bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Then slowly pull it out while rotation (twisting) it. This should breakup any clogs. As you reach the tip of the inserted Zip Tie, be prepared as some water may follow. Reconnect the hose to the connection, plug the unit back in, turn it On and lower the humidity extraction level to 35%. Monitor the hose periodically for water flow.

Be sure the hose slopes down and away from the unit and is not longer than 5 feet. As drainage relies entirely on gravity to drain.

NOTE: You may substitute something similar to a plastic Zip Tie. But, no wire coat hangers.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Unit not discharging through garden hose. Just cleaned unit inside and out. Works great, BUT, only discharges into its container. What am I missing. Cleaned all hoses - no blockages. What should I be...

The blockage is not in the hose, it's inside the hose connection drain tube. To clear this clog, you will need an 18" long plastic Zip Tie, sized to fit into the drain hole. You can use something similar, but NO wire coat hangers. Carefully thread the Zip Tie into the hole and continue to firmly, yet gently work it in, until it reaches a bend in the tubing. You will need to gingerly work it past this bend, until it either bottoms out or you run out of Zip Tie. Then slowly pull it back out while rotating it. This will help remove the clog. Once you have pulled it almost all the way out, be prepared for some water to follow.

That should solve the problem for you. Please let me know. Thanks.

I have a lg lhd45elt8 dehumidifier i bought used i want to hook up the hose connection i see on the back a plastic chip that needs to be removed and the hose pipe is just inserted? then connect a drain...

I own this dehumidifier. To connect it to a garden hose for drainage you first need the special connector pipe/adapter that comes with the unit. It's white plastic and about a foot long, It may be stored in the top of the bucket drawer, where it ships from the factory. Your hose connects to the threaded fitting on one end. The other end is inserted into the hole in the back of the unit. You slide it straight in until it mates with a drain connection inside the unit. You can see this black pipe connection if you pull the bucket drawer all the way out and look in the very top right hand corner of the opening of the unit. Once the white tube is fully and correctly inserted you'll find two plastic tabs on the tube near the hose connection. The larger tab points straight up and blocks the tube from being inserted too far. The smaller tab points down and hooks into the slot in the bottom of the round opening to keep it from getting knocked loose. Your dehumidifier should now drain through the hose instead of into the bucket. Of course, be sure your hose is routed across a floor to a drain or sump pump located lower than the unit, since the water flows by gravity.

Where does the drain hose attach to the goldstar dh504e dehumidifier?

First look at the top of the collection bucket - do you have a garden hose adapter (they can generally stored in a spot on top of the bucket cover. If so you can use a garden hose. If not, you can buy a length of plastic or vinyl tune at a hardware store.
looking from the back - look at left side and you'll see a knock-out. punch that out and look inside to see the hose connection (generally black plastic)
or
take out the bucket, and look at the right side at the bottom of the "roof" of the area here the bucket goes. there is a small tube pointing toward the back of the unit - right at the knock-out

for my machine, I went to home depot and bought a 20 foot length of the right diameter vinyl hose and it drains into a floor drain - I never have to touch the unit expect to clean the filter

Can a hose be attached to the LG 45 dehumidifier to allow to drain as it fills?

Yes a hose can be connected to this unit.

1. Remove the drain-hole cover from the back of the unit.
2. Connect a garden hose to the threaded hose connector.
3. Push the hose connector tightly to the drain-hole on the back of the unit

This is explained on the manual on page 12. Hope this helps

I have the hose hooked up to the back but it keeps filling the tank and shuts off when it's full ,how do you just use the hose to drain

I believe you have to put a plug to drain that drains into the tank ,then it can only drain out the hose.
