Will any 3V Lithium battery work for the Scout 1000 or does it have to be a specific amperage (power) rating or model?

Any good CR2 battery should work. Try this.....remove the battery cap, then pull out the spring a little bit, Dont break it. Make sure the battery goes in Positive end first. reinstall cap and see what happens. If you can, measure the battery voltage.(2.9 to 3.2 volts)
good luck

2035, 2032 can be bought from any super market or hardware store. Need to open the PC, locate the battery, which is normally clipped to the mother board. Use a small screw driver and lift out. If battery is soldered to the mother board then need to access under the board and de-solder carefully without damaging the tracks.

I have a sidewinder mouse with a lithium battery and it died can I use any battery or do I need a certain one??

Read the label of the lithium batteries you are currently using. If the voltage rating is 1.5V then you can use stardard alkaline batteries. But if the voltage is 3V or 3.6V then you can only use lithium batteries.

I have an Accu-Time Electronic Clock Model #40240. Made in China, but have no idea how to set the time/date/ect. Is there a manual I can download?

It can't be done. The Accutime 40240 has a 3V lithium battery behind the 9V compartment that keeps the time should the clock lose AC power or even when the backup 9V dies. If however the 9V is removed, the AC power is disconnected and the lithium battery drains, there is no way for the end user to reset the time. There is a small data port in the 9V battery compartment which is how they initially set the time IMHO but good luck finding a way to do that outside the factory. Besides, these clocks are so cheap its probably less cost to get another clock rather than replace the batteries

Hello, I work for the Math department here at Portland Community College. Our little datemark is flashing p.reset and we don't know why. (My boss is downloading the manual but I am trying you). We put...

Please try the following:
  1. Remove all the batteries including the 3v lithium battery. In the 3v lithium battery compartment you will see a metal tab. Bend this metal tab upward slightly to ensure good contact with the lithium battery.
  2. With the batteries out, turn the unit over so you can see the print ribbon. At one end of the print ribbon you will see a plastic bracket. This plastic bracket should move freely. Using a pen or pencil point, gently move the plastic bracket from side to side in order to ensure it's able to move freely on the print ribbon.
  3. Check the display and make sure it is completely blank. Replace all of the batteries.
  4. Press the P-Reset button with a pen/pencil point or a straightened paper clip.
Hope this help, if it does please rate my help. Thanks

First of all, you need to make sure your power adapter is providing enough power to both run the laptop & charge the battery. A very good way to do this is to compare your laptop voltage & ampere requirements (written on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop) with the voltage & ampere ratings of the power adapter. Voltages should be the same, or the power adapter's voltage about up to 0.5 volts more than the laptop's voltage rating. Amperage of the power adapter should be at least equal to or greater than the laptop's rating. It should never be less than the laptop's rating, or else the power adapter will be providing insufficient amperes to charge the battery. Of course, the power adapter's nominal amperage might be ok, but it degraded on usage. You can verify this by testing using a good or new power adapter.
If the battery did not charge using the new power adapter, take the battery off the laptop, & using a dry tooth brush, scrub in between the fins of the battery connector on the motherboard & on the battery it self, then put the battery back into the laptop & try again.
If this still did not resolve the problem, then the battery itself could be bad. Try it on another laptop, or try a good or new battery in your laptop.
If this did not work, there might be a possibility that the charging circuitry on the laptop's motherboard is defective & needs servicing. In order to do this, the laptop needs to be disassembled & the motherboard checked for defective/burned out components in the area near the DC jack. Any defective/burned out components found should be replaced, or you might need to replace the laptop's motherboard altogether

Slow or fast charge

Yes, the amperage your charging at determines charging time. The higher the amperage, the faster it charges. Your battery is rated in mAh or milliamp hours. One Ah means the electric charge transferred by a steady current of one ampere for one hour. A mAh would be 1/1000th of an amp for one hour. If your battery is a 1500mAh battery it means 1.5 amps for one hour. This charge current should not exceed the rating of the battery. It would cause possible excessive heating and possible a fire or explosion, especially on newer more volatile batteries like lithium polymer batteries. The life of the battery charge when fully charged will be similar no matter how you charged it, but slower, lower amperage charges will maintain your battery better than quicker, higher amperage charges and help extend it's life to its potential.
