Video Playback in fast mode (canon ixus 80)

I did the exact same thing as this person: "video mode extra fast.. I ran my camera in video mode and when it played back there was no sound and it was in extra fast mode like I was fast forwarding it."
How can I now view it in normal mode?
Can someone please help as these are valuable video clips from a concert I recently attended?
Thank you

Oh my, sounds like you accidentally recorded in "Time Lapse" mode (one of the specialized video features of your camera). Unfortunately, there's no way to convert the already taken video back to "Standard" video with sound, I'm sorry. However, you'll obviously need to set your camera back to standard mode for future videos. Press the "Function" button while in video mode. Then press left/right to select "Standard" video.

Unfortunately, no. By recording in fast mode, the camera captured fewer frames than usual. When played back at the normal speed, the action appears faster than normal. Because the camera recorded fewer frames, there is no way to make up for the images that were not captured. You could slow down the playback, but the result would be a jerky, jumpy video.
Now, if you had accidentally captured the video in slow motion, you could then throw away some of the intervening frames and recreate a normal-speed video.

Video playback is too fast

It sounds like you may be in "Fast Frame Rate" video mode. Turn on the camera to video mode, then press right/left to select normal 640 pixel video. (Depending on the camera model, you may or may not have to press "Func" or "Func Set" first).

Can the canon ixus 80 is be used as a webcam?

It may be able to be used that way (but its pretty iffy)...you would have to have to have a computer with an RCA-type video in jack (or an installed TV tuner card with the same RCA-type video in jack).

And if you have that setup on your computer, then you could use the AV cable that is supplied with this camera to send video out (either what is being shown on the screen in shooting mode, or already taken pictures/videos in playback mode) to your PC.

You would then need to point whatever software you are using to broadcast your webcam stream to the "video in" jack as the source of your webcam video (if it even allows for that option).

If you can do all that, it MIGHT be possible, but its probably a pretty long shot.

Playback for movies on digital camera plats way too fast

I had the same problem. You have the recording setting on time lapse and there is no sound.
Set the recording on to standard by turning the round wheel at the back of your camera. I did not read the manual until I had this problem and I ended up making useless fast videos with no sound. Hope I am right?

Video too fast during playback on my Camera

I have a Powershot SD1000 and it should be similar.
When the video plays very fast it was probably filmed in Timelapse mode( which fast- forwards the video) When you are in video mode press the SET Button and set the camera to Standard mode

LP/SP mode

Seems your Canon doesn't support LP mode playback. Please see its user manual and check its specifications for LP mode playback.
