Panasonic DMR-EX75 has stoped receiving digital signal

Panasonic DMR-EX75 DVD Recorder has stoped receiving digital signals but still receives analog signal fine. Antenna and connections have been checked and are all OK. System update states that it is upto date (0.46). I am unable to check the signal strength as this selection has been greyed out.

If anyone has any ideas on what maybe causing this I would love to hear

Thank you

Not receiving a TV signal through the DVD recorder and cannot record programs or watch TV through the DVD recorder

Firstly you must have a good connection from your antennae to the dvd recorder, secondly a good connection between recorder and tv
via scart lead or hdmi. Check these out before you do anything else.

Auto tune will not reset DMR-EX75 which lost signal (not an antenna problem) Panasonic suggest digital tuner is faulty. I s this worth repairing? (always supposing one can find a repairer) Many thanks

Panasonic should be able to supply you with a list of agents who will repair the device. Ask for a quote when you find one, then if there is another repair shop on the list do the same. And take your choice.

How do you re-tune the panasonic DMR E85H DVD Recorder. I have done exactly as it says in the manual and still it does not find any channels? Is it digital?

The tuner in the DMR-58H is a NTSC tuner (analog). Unless you have a low power station in your area, you will need a digital-to-analog converter box to record OTA stations. It can record analog cable without a box as well. (Digital cable will require a box.)

The manual for the DMR-E85H is available from Panasonic here: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMRE85H.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(at least in my area there is only one station broadcasting an analog signal; it is a low-power transmitter and thus wasn't required to upgrade to digital with the rest of the stations.)

DVD recorder has stopped picking up a signal from the tv.

Double check connections first and try using the factory settings reset, before replacing the card.

Can the Panasonic DMR-EH55 be made to receive digital channels? e.g. via a digital capable TV or a set top box? If not, I suspect it will be obsolete when analogue channels cease this year (in Australia)

If you receive your channels through your local cable company, nothing will change. The DMR-EH55 will continue to work normally.
If you receive your channels with your rooftop antenna you'll need a Digital to Analog TV Converter Box. The unit itself will not receive digital signals directly.

Is your recorder hooked up to the new convert box for digital antenna reception?
I am currently researching the convert boxes for my dvd recorder. I found that some dvd recorders already have digital converter boxes already installed. This might be the case for you.
