Just installed a new carburetor on a Tecumseh Snow King 8 hp engine. Gas is getting to the carburetor but no gas is filling the bowl and engine won't start

Sounds like the carb needle valve is stuck closed. Try loosening the bolts holding the carb to the engine, then tapping the carb lightly with a hammer. If gas then flows to the carb, re-tighten the carb bolts evenly and not too tightly.

Why is fuel not getting to spark plug on my yamaha raptor 50cc?

Could be the carb float has come off and not letting any gas into the carb bowl? Could be a plug in the gas line or the inlet in the gas tank which usually has a screen on it is filthy and needs to be cleaned. I\'d throw in a clear inline gas filter so you can actually see gas going through the line. They\'re cheap enough and the filer will help keep any crap from getting through to the carb. If your jets in the carb are plugged then you won\'t get getting any gas through the carb. So you need to see where the issue is. Is it a gas tank fuel plug, or a carb fuel plug. Make sure the gas is getting to the carb, then make sure the carb isn\'t plugged which will require you taking the carb off and looking through the gets which can be unscrewed. Jets are inside the carb and if you take the bowl off the carb you will usually find them. Take the get out, look through it into a ligh and if you can see light through the jet, it\'s ok. If you can\'t see light, then the jet is probably plugged. I use an old guitar string to slide through the jet hole to unplug it which works pretty well because they are small enough to do so. Clean the carb with carb cleaner and make sure it\'s good and clean before reassembling.

I have a toro super cycler gts 5 model 20475 6.0 engine i put new gas in it a new spark plug but if i loosen the gas bowl no gas come out and it wont start what could be wrong

Ensure fresh gas is in tank. Follow gas line from tank to carb. Have locking pliers ready to pinch off gas line or close gas line valve. Remove gas line from carb. observe gas flow to carb. Remove carb bowl from bottom of carb. Attach gas line to carb. Does gas flow to carb. Observe float, float down gas flows, float up no gas flow. If float is bad replace float assembly or carb. Remove float mounting pin and needle metering valve. Use a bread wrapper pealed back an inch so thin wire can clean out port of meter needle. Use wire to clean out center port. Observe bowl screw look for hole thru screw, clean out with wire if preset. Re-assemble carb. Clean replace air filter. Fill oil. 30w. Prime motor, pull rope 10 times to start. No start, replace carb.

I have a briggs and straton 3750 portable generator. it had be sitting in the garage for a year and a half with gas in it and the full switch on. i needed it a couple of days ago and it would not start. ...

Spraying carb cleaner into the carb doesn't clear the gummed gas that is clogging the supply of gas to the carb. Remove all of the gas. Put a little fresh gas and carb cleaner (about 50/50) in the tank. Try to get that to run (spray more carb cleaner or instant start into the carb to help it start - you might have to do that a couple of times). If it does start, let it run out of gas then refill the tank. If that doesn't work remove the bowl from the carb and clean the float valve and the mixture valve.
Good luck, Al K

Yardman snowblower wont start

More often than not, old gas in the carburator breaks down. It turns green and smells like turpentine. This usually fowls the carb inlet. I dodnot know the technical name but You can usually solve the problem by removing the bolt that holds the bottom of the carb. to the carb. It looks like a very small tin can under the carb. This contains the carb float and lets gas into the carb. The bolt is usually hollow and has two extremely small holes that allow gas to be taken up to the carb venturi. They are usually clogged and therefore no fresh gas gets through into the chamber. Use a very thin wire or needle to clear debri. Clean out old gas and residue before reassambley. It could also be the Carb float stuck closed and again no gas is getting through. You can service these issues usually without taking the carb off the motor.

Gas is not getting into the carb.

follow the fuel line down to the carb. There should be a filter inside the carb that is probably clogged. Then make sure gas flows through the line from the tank to the carb.

Sounds like a restriction in your carb, not getting enough gas. I would clean out the carb again.
