If the HDMI input is failing you will need to ring Customer Support or Get a New TV because if its not outputting then The HDMI may not get Prosecced (sorry about spelling) And make sure you have checked its the Correct port and that there is no Blue-Tac or dust in the port ( that ussually solves this) If all else fails Use a Hairdyer and give it a Big clean :D

It is possible you are experiencing tuner problems. If you cannot pick up any channels regardless of the antenna used, sounds like tuner problems.

HELLO WE HAVE A 60INCH 60PS40FD STILL IN WARRANTY AND INTERMITTENTLY IN EXACTLY THE LOWER HALF OF THE SCREEN HORIZONTAL LINES APPEAR FOR NO REASON CAN FLICKER.AS IF EVER SECOND LINE ON THE SCREEN GOES...

shaun851, If set is still covered under Lucky Goldstar warranty, then don't you dare let them off the hook. The problem could be in the units internal "switch-mode-power-supply" or any other signal processing circuit that requires clean, noise-free, DC voltages and current. Call or email a complaint to LG with the model, serial, and date of manufacture of the unit. One other thing you can do would be is locate local TV service shop or even a Best Buy and question the technicians there to see if this type of symptom is common with this model and what corrective actions (fixes) were implemented. You should also note the exact symptom characteristic's, such as "lines appear after 4min of operation" or "lines appear 5 seconds after turn-on" and what type of signal source you are using or viewing. e.g. dvd. cable, antenna, vcr. My only suggestion to you if unit will be serviced is that you make sure the technician informs you of the ROOT CAUSE of failure!! Start the warranty service request today. Do not wait. Hope this has helped. I worked for Zenith many years ago till LG took over and 50 percent of employees went out the door. Good luck with the repair. 12fixlouie

Lines across the screen

the dark lines could be what is called hum bars these are caused by ground differences between cable and your AC ground. check to see if these lines appear using a dvd and removing the cable from the cable box. if the lines disappear then call the cable company and your electricain. in the mean time you can use a plug adaptor that is the 2 prong (ground less) until you can have the problem fixed. but don't use the adaptor as a fix, for your TV is a computer and needs proper grounds.

those are going to be dust spots on the LCD panels internal to the optical engine. i suggest that you take the screen off and take off the panel i nthe middle of the tv with 2 screws in it and there will be an area that has 3 metal fins covering thin orange ribbon cables. the 3 square objects at the end of those ribbon cables will be the LCD panels spray wiht air compressor unitl clean and that should greatly help your problem.
