Question about Dishwashers

Open Question

I have a Karcher K2.25R and the Dirtblaster wand that usually sends out a rotating high pressure stream of water has stopped sending the rotating, high pressure stream of water.

The stream has stopped rotating and only a high pressure stream of water comes out. However, I have noticed that when I stop the spray and note the pattern of the spray, when I start the spray again, the pattern has shifted. So, it looks like the part that is suppose to rotate has partially rotated. Is it possible to disassembly the nozzle head and look for debris and then clean it?

SOURCE: LG LDS5811WW Low pressure out of spray arms

On the LG LDF xxxx dishwasher family, the Vario feature uses a motor/check valve to switch between "full power" cleaning from _either_ the lower or the upper spray arms, never at the same time. So, not seeing the upper arm spin during the lower arm spinning is standard operating procedure.

But back to your problem. Step one would be to remove the filter assembly again and make certain that there is nothing (debris, broken glass) blocking the white areas where the check valve rotates to switch between upper/lower spray arms. A blockage there ~could~ cause impotent spraying/cleaning.

If there is no blockage and the impeller remains in good shape, suspect a failing wash pump motor. Try to isolate the noise to that motor.

Watch for error codes on the display and report back what you find, OK?

Good Luck!

SOURCE: Karcher Dirtblaster jet does not rotate

Had the same problem and it turned out to be an obstruction in the nozzle and I mean a small obstruction, it looked like an ant leg. I pushed a 1mm drill bit through and now it works fine.

Karcher dirtblaster leaking at the end

If it's leaking it obviously has a bad seal or is broken. I would try to disassemble and see if it has a seal or not. Sounds like you could have a bad "O" Ring or some other type of seal leaking but I'd bet on an "0" Ring damaged or wore out. Dissemble it and see what is sealing it and proceed accordingly.

I don't get a constant stream of water from my Karcher 2500 psi pressure washer. instead is shoots in spurtss.

Make sure that while you are running your pressure washer, other machines that pull

large volumes of water like a dishwasher or washing machine are not running. check and make sure

the hose you have tied to the pressure washer is not collapsing or has any kinks in it.

check the filter where your water hose ties in to your pressure washer, make sure it

is clean and does not have any debris or hardwater buildup, clean the tip at the tip of

the wand. if it is reduced in size by hardwater buildup, will not work properly, good luck!

When i switch on the power of my karcher K2.38 power washer, the motor runs but there does not appear to be any increase in pressure, which means that it is ineffective when it comes to cleaning the patio/...

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly/
First off, remove the water supply hose from the power washer and locate the in line filter. Most of them are a plastic screen stuffed into the plumbing just behind the hose washer. Others have a short stand off and the filter / screen may be where the stand off attaches to the pressure washer. Others units have in in line sump that usually has a blue or red cap that you remove to clean the sump. Find the filtering mechanism(s) and clean it.
After doing this... attach the water hose loose to the power washer and turn on the water supply hose. Wait for all of the air to purge from the water supply hose. Then tighten the water supply hose. After that... Squeeze the wand trigger until all the air purges out of the high pressure hose and you get a solid stream of water with the unit off. Once you get a solid stream of water with the unit off... power the unit up and see if the high pressure hose becomes rigid / charges with high pressure. Next.... cycle the wand trigger 1 second on... and then wait for the hose to charge again. Do this multiple times. What your doing is forcing the un-loader / relief valve to stroke in the pump. Until the un-loader valve stokes un-restricted; you will have pressure problems. Next after the hose is fully charged... cycle the wand trigger very rapidly until you get high pressure each time you cycle the wand trigger. At this point your done and can proceed with patio cleaning.

Should this NOT resolve your problem.... get as much water out if it as you possibly can and pour a few ounces of engine oil into the water inlet. (Easier said than done... but you have to get oil into the pump and then let it sit over night. once you have oil in the pump pull the recoil 2 times with the ignition off just to force oil through the pump)
The next day you go through the same routine as stated above. This brings about 80% of the stubborn ones back to life again. Should it still be fussy after doing all of the above... you will have to replace the unload-er valve. If you removed the un-loader valve for any reason... you must clean out the pump housing and lubricate it and the un-loader valve with white grease (<-Available at any automotive parts source) BEFORE reinserting either the old one or a replacement un-loader valve. If you attempt to use the old one with lubrication.. make sure to remove any debris from the springs and wipe the seals clean with a PAPER towel before lubrication.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Karcher K 3.97M electric presuure washer cycles on/off.

Hi;
It has an internal water leak or a seal or valve is leaking air. These machines are warrantied for 2 years and that is about all you can expect from them. Having it repaired professionally would cost about 75% the price of a new machine. If you are handy enough to get into it yourself, e-mail me and I will send you a diagram. (firehead@rogers.com) Part prices are expensive in Canada but not bad in the US. I don't know about other countries.

My Karcher high pressure sprayer is delivering intermitant pressure.Every 15 seconds or so it developes high pressure for only about two seconds. Why is it not delivering a constant high pressure stream?

Check that the water supply is constant , it sounds like the pump might be pushing out more water than can be delivered , or it could be a dirty inlet filter

Got a karcher 410 water pressure passed down to me without directions need help working it

Fairly simple to opperate. Connect water supply hose. Connect wand hose. Plug in, turn on water supply and turn on. Then squeeze the wand handle to spray. With mine, there are times when the unit looses pressure, but if you leave it running, it seems to recover. Also note that you can turn the flare at the end of the wand for a soft stream versus pressure spray. I have had mixed results with the pull out clear tube that is supposed to siphon liquid soap into the mix.
