SOURCE: buzzer won't shut off. only when door is left open

could be a number of things, but you may want to test with an ohmmeter if you have one.
It sounds like your timer needs to be replaced. If the buzzer is not shutting off, the timer may not be turning to the off position. It may be really slow our out of wack, not letting the dryer completely dry. It also could be an error with the dryer's control module (kind of like a computer for the dryer)
I also recommend playing around with door switch, it to may be faulty. If the dryer does work with door closed, it is unlikely to be the door switch. You will have to test timer and door switch with ohmmeter or voltmeter to determine that the voltage current is constant and not speratic or shorting out.

SOURCE: disconnected the sensors on each side of garage

You cannot "bypass" the sensors. The sensors have circuits in them that must communicate with the main circuit board. Try mounting the sensors a little higher. Ideal height is 5-6 inches off the floor.

If you have no kids or pets around you can always duct tape them together behind the main unit. But, that would be unsafe and I recommend you find a different solution.

SOURCE: 15,000 BTU. (P/N 459516.701)

This appears to be a low charge. you should see a 15-20 degree split between the discharge venting and the return air venting.

SOURCE: Maytag MSD2454GRW, came back from

It sounds like a relay has gone out. Unplug the unit for a hour and plug it back in. See if the compressor comes on or if you hear it clicking. You might want to slide it out from the wall so you may observe it better. Also, check to see if the condenser fan comes on by the compressor.

I have a Goodman CKL24-1k air conditioner. I live in a townhouse in Louisiana on the 2nd and 3rd floors. I set the temperature to about 73 degrees during the day so I can sleep bc I work the graveyard...

I lost you at my the end but the 2 ton unit should be able to cool 960 sqft. Sounds like a refrigerant problem. Air conditioners should cool the air 15 to 20 degrees. This means 80 degrees going into the machine in the return should be 60 to 65 degrees coming out in the supply. If you are in that range than it's likely never going to cool the space.

How to close off rooms that don't need cooling...

You may be able to close off 2 of the 4 vents without any problems, but it's up to your system and your house if it works or not. This is the basics:

1. Your A/C is sized to the sq. ft. Of the living space it has to condition. 1 ton for every 400sq. Ft. Your outside unit is matched with the indoor coil and needs this certain amount of cfm's to operate correctly, shuting off too much air will usually cause the system to freeze up and become less efficient.
2. Shutting off returns will further cause problems because your pulling in less air than needed. A dirty filter will cause a similar restriction like closing off returns and the system will once again, freeze.
3. Leaving rooms unconditioned can cause the other rooms to become warmer. You can have the whole house conditioned except one room that has a high heat load and will cause the rooms around it to raise in temp. Kind of like having no insulation in the attic will leave your system useless.

So yes, you can try to shut off two of the vents, I wouldn't do returns, and see how your system holds up. There are many factors involved in weather it works or not. Hope this helps, have a good day!

Runs for about 1-1/2 hours (on either lo or hi) and shuts off. will not restart. try again in the morning and it starts... want to return as it's the first time to use and it doesn't work!!!!

heater has an oxigen sensor,if it i used in a small closed room and oxigen levels are getting low, heater will shut off for safety reason. Try to open doors or windows for a while and see if heater restarts.

Why is there no cool air going into my refrigerator when freezer door is shut but works when freezer door is open

Good day,
All cooling comes from the freezer compartment. There is a supply vent connecting the top of the freezer to supply some cold air from the freezer thru the opening on the top connecting the freezer compartment to the fridge side.
As well there is a second opening or return chute located in the fresh food section on the bottom lower half, that allows air to return the air back to the freezer, completing the air flow cycle. In almost all cases, the return chute going from the fresh food section to the freezer compartment has become blocked.
Usually iced up.
It will ned to be completely defrosted. Many times, the return chute is difficult to see and in many cases almost impossible to defrost easily.
If you can see the blockage, then it can be defrosted with the gentle use of a hair dryer.
However, if too difficult to access, you may need to open both doors and leave the machine unplugged for an extended period, usually 12 to 24 hours.

I know it's a pain, but sometimes necessary. Many times, rushing a refrigerator repair is impossible.
The reaon it works when you open the doors is, you have given the machine a secondary source of air from the room.

3. Always turn humidifier off when water runs* out. Unit will continue to operate when tank is empty.
*Humidifier will run up to 12 hrs on low; 6 hrs on high.

Place unit on level surface away from direct sunlight.

Mild bleach and water solution for cleaning, never detergent.
Clean every 3rd day during use. Clean after long storage
Humidity varies from room to room. Aim for 30 - 50% relative humidity. If windows/ walls fog or frost, reduce mist intensity. If room too humid, ventilate by opening door or window; adjust mist intensity.
