Question about Frigidaire GLTF2940ES Front Load Washer

Open Question

Frigidaire GLTF2940FS1 Start button activates by itself

Our Frigidaire GLTF2940FS1 FL Washer is a little over 1 year old - out of warranty and it recently started going bonkers. It seems that the start button activates by itself. Throughout the day and night it will automatically turn on and be ready to start with 44 minutes displayed.

When I select cancel/pause it turns off and then a few minutes later it turns back on and activates the start.

This happens when the door is left open and when it is closed.

SOURCE: Affinity washer displays ERR. PAU and 56

I fixed this myself and it only took about 5 minutes. The problem is the door latch needs to be reset, which requires unplugging it's three electrical connections. This has to be done inside the washer outer seal, but it is easy to get to. First remove the outer ring that holds the seal on. Next remove only the side of the seal closest to the door latch (again only the outer seal needs to be undone). With this done remove the two screws holding the door latch in place (inside). Remove the latch, unplug the three connectors, plug them back in then reassemble everything. When all is back in place hit "cancel" and it should be good to go.

SOURCE: Frigidaire F/L Washer - Delay Start will not reset?

I had this EXACT problem this morning and ended up calling the Sears Home Central Team out (I have an extended maintenance agreement). This is an error code that CAN BE RESET by the end user (you and me!) and doesn't need a repairmain. Here's what you do:

The four lights above the START button will begin to flash.
Continuing holding the START and CANCEL button and "spin" your wash selector knob to "SPIN".
Release the START and CANCEL buttons and Press the START button.
This will RESET the error codes within the system and allow you to "cancel out" of the DELAY START.

IF the error codes are "bad ones", then the system will stay locked and you'll need to call a repairman; however, this "fix" should work for MOST of the routine system error codes.

Worked on mine and we're a happy washing family once again!!

Gltf2940fs1 machine stopped with 1 minute left in the cycle, could it be the door latch or motor control board

I appreciate your post, friend!

Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire washer, GLTF2940FS1, stopped with 1 minute left in your cycle. This could be a potential issue with your door latch, control board, or a miscommunication within your washer. I would recommend a reset on your washer and you can do that by unplugging the power cord for at least ten minutes. If that does help correct your issue you may need to consult with a technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This may help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

M frigidaire washer model gltf2940fs1 shows me a e11 code

Thanks for your post, friend!

From my understanding your Frigidaire frontload washer, GLTF2940FS1, is displaying an "E11" error code. Typically, "E11" stands for fill time too long which means you could have an issue within your pressure sensor or control board. I would recommend a reset on your washer and that can be done by flipping the household circuit breaker off for ten minutes. If that does not help correct the issue you may want to consult with a technician for proper diagnosis. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

My Frigidaire washer, GLTF2940FS1, has stopped in the middle of a cycle. I can eventually get it to start again, but it stops within a minute or two. Is there anything I can try before calling for a r

Hey friend, thanks for your inquiry!

I see that your Frigidaire washer, GLTF2940FS1, is stopping multiple times within the cycle. It sounds like a potential issue with your control panel of door latch assembly. You should perform a reset on your appliance by unplugging or flipping the household circuit breaker for ten minutes.
If that does not help correct the issue I would advise you to seek technical assistance from a professional for proper diagnosis and repair. This would help avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Best of luck! -Matt

Frigidaire GLT2940S1 front load washer

Hello Friend, this is Z. Thank you for your inquiry!

I see that your Frigidaire washer, GLTF2940FS1 will not start. First, let's try resetting your appliance. This can be done by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes, and then turn on your washer. If the issue persists, you may have a communication error from the main control board or timer itself may not be operating correctly. If you noticed minimum blinking or a buzzing noise before shutting off, it could be a faulty power supply or it could possibly have another issue with the door lock assembly. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

It wont start washing or spin

MIne had the same code. It is the error code for the motor and control board. The book that tells you how to read the code is under the washer behind the front panel. My washer was 4 1/2 years old and was shot. To repair this was $479 for parts and labor, I replaced with a new Amana front load washer for $496.00. Glad I had AHS home warranty only cost me $60.00 for the service call and they sent me a check for a replacement. I probably would not buy another Frigidaire, because a washer should last more than 4 years. Good Luck.

Frigidaire Dishwasher FDB1050REC1 - Washing Indicator Light Blinking

Here is what happened, you pulled the door open without pressing cancel and allowing it to pump the water out, hence the "flooding in the bottom". This is just one reason why it maybe blinking, there is a water sensor in the bottom. If your dishwasher is hooked up properly to any decent garbage disposal, run the disposal for about 30 seconds to a minute. This should pump the water out, more like activate a light siphoning affect. It should work as normal. If you are not having luck with that, detach the DW drain get it low and let it siphon.
