SOURCE: Using protron as a monitor with mac

Need to set resolution and refresh rate on the Mac before plugging in to the TV set - had this same problem with a WinVista machine. According to the documentation, the only supported resolutions are:

640x480 60Hz
800x600 56Hz
800x600 60Hz
1024x768 60Hz
1280x1024 60Hz
1280x768 60Hz
1366x768 60Hz

In all fairness, I cannot get the unit to run in 1366x768, though - get out of range. 1360x768 seems to work OK though. Only real problem with the VGA input is that regular text mode on a video card (more of an issue on Windows machines) does not work.

SOURCE: LG 37LC7D Connect to VGA from a PC

Your right. I just had the same "Invalid Input" issue as well and it completely relates to the resolution compatability with any VGA or HDMI connection. Check the LG website for the online manual if you don't have it and see the section on RGB-PC cable. There is a table that incdicates the Resolutions the LG product is capable of displaying.

Thanks for the help.

I am trying to connect an acer one notebook to a beko 32" flatscreen and everytime i plug the vga lead in the laptop screen goes black an the tv says no signal,,what am i doing wrong??

It could be a no. of things:

- Wrong input selected via the TV
- The VGA input on the TV is turned off
- Problem with the VGA cord
- Problem with either VGA port

there the basics, if there all great and it's still no working, try setting your Computer display to EXTEND rather then projector only, then play around with your graphic output settings.

UPDATE all your Drivers and check all your cables. PLUG IN YOUR LAPTOP, yes it will make a difference to the way the graphics card operates.

Hope this helps.

Invalid mode is on a blue VGA input screen with laptop plugged in, why?

It is becuase your PC video resoliton is too high for this TV to display, max resolution for the PLTV3250 is 1366 x 768 @ 60 Hz.
Also watch out for this TV power supply to go out due to bad caps and it will take out the transistor and Diode with it.

I am getting a "no signal" on the blue screen on DTV mode of my Protron PLTV-3750 LCD. It has worked until I moved it to a different room. The signal is good on other tv. Anything I can do?

First make sure you have your cables connected securely, then try to move your antenna around and rescan your channels everytime you move the antenna.

Akai 32LW7 _connection to Laptop

Hi,

I believe that you have connected it correctly since the Windows log-on is displayed. It may be that the Screen Resolution of your desktop is a bit high and therefore would have to be lowered to match the capacity of the Akai 32LW7. Pls try 1366 x 768 pixels or lower. You could also lower the laptop's screen refresh rate. Additionally, some laptops have to be toggled to activate external VGA by pressing Fn + F? keys to cycle through LCD, LCD + external, External only. The F? key would be the one with the monitor icon.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

VGA

Monitor outputs from PCs can be very fustrating. First of all, is the PC a laptop? If so most of them do not have a dual monitor capability for supporting an external monitor, or if they do it can be difficult to get it to use both monitors at the same time. Try updating the drivers for the video board. Most of them are sold with drivers that are outdated.

Connecting My Laptop to my T.V.

Try this test. Reduce the resolution on your laptop. Try 800x600. The boot screen is lower res than the desktop.
