SOURCE: Replacing front LCD panel

Looks easy to replace boy did you pick the wrong model, I've done this job, what a pain of a design, you just want to get to those four screws that hold that operations panel in, heres what needs to be done first, remove left rear corner covers(2) and disconnect wires cables that go to Doc feeder and scanner(27millon), unscrew and remove doc feeder, now you can take out scanner top with glass, from base to reveal screws for operations panel. flow chart below .. and dont order that part it is the LCD display only - you want number depends on country but i think the states is .LE8846001 , PANEL UNIT, MFC8840D FOR ASA/OCE not LG4383001 LCD

And dont swear when doing job remember your a qualified engineer!! have fun,

SOURCE: I have no front control panel working and changes channels

The front controls are called Tac Switches. They have a tendency of becoming corroded and sending erroneous commands to the micro. You can disconnect the lead coming from the control panel to the chassis and see if it quits. If it does, that answers your question. If you decide to replace them all, try Encompassparts.com

SOURCE: broken d/s window switch

More than likely the door panel the switch sets in is broken not the switch, this is common. You will need to try and find a used panel in the right color. I suggest you use a used part search engine you can find by googling "used Buick/car parts request from".

How to Replace a Dryer Door Switch on a whirlpool

First, make sure the peg on the door that pushes the switch is in place and the two snap pegs that hold the door shut are not broken. If any of these are broken, replace them first and see if that solves your problem. If not, here's how to replace the door switch: Unplug the dryer. Pull out lint screen. Remove two screws revealed underneath. Slide a 1" putty knife between the top and cabinet at the top front corners on each side, jamb it in while tugging the top forward to release the clips, one at a time. Lift top and lean against wall. If it's a gas dryer, remove lower front panel and loosen two 5/16" hex head screws for top front panel. If electric, loosen same screws at bottom of front panel. Remove two 5/16" hex head screws holding front panel from inside near top. Carefully tilt front toward you, holding drum in place. Lift front panel slightly to disengage bottom screws and remove. Gently lower drum until it stops. Unplug two (sometimes three) wires to door switch on right side. Now the front panel is completely free. Remove two Phillips head screws holding door switch onto front panel. Reassembly is the reverse of disassembly. Make sure wiring to door switch is secured to cabinet so they don't drag on the drum, and are not pinched. Be careful realigning the drum into the door opening so felt seal is inside the front glide ring on the drum. After the front panel is in place, gently hand turn the drum to make sure it is turning properly and the belt in still hooked to the idler and motor pulleys. If the drum falls off the rear rollers, or the belt comes loose, you will have to correct it before putting the front panel back on, as you cannot reach them otherwise. Taking pictures during disassembly will help get it back together properly. It really is not as hard as it seems, you may even be able to replace the switch without removing the front panel. Also, if you have a three wire switch, write down where they go or snap a picture. If it's a two wire switch, it doesn't matter, it will work the same either way. Good luck.

What is the easiest way to get the front panel off of my LG front load washer to replace the large rubber drum gasket which ripped? Is it screwed on or pressure fit?

It can be changed out without removing the front panel. There are special tools designed to remove and re-install the spring clamps which hold the gasket on, but you can do it with long nose pliers or other implements. It is more difficult to do with the panel on, but it can be done. If you want to remove the front panel: Remove bottom screws from plastic parts on the back edge of the washer top. Stand in front of machine and use the palms of your hands to sparply push back the washer's top about 2 inches, then lift it off. Remove screws from support frame to control panel. Remove dispenser drawer by opening it and pushing the tab on the top back side down while pulling the dispenser the remaining way out. Remove screws from behind dispenser drawer. Release tabs along the top edge of the control panel (watch out for sharp edges) and swing the control panel up on top of the washer drum. Remove spring clamp from front of rubber door gasket. Open access door panel on lower left of front panel. Use small hose to drain out remaining water. Remove phillips head screw in recess, then use plastic putty knife to push inward on the left or right edge of rectangular housing around the recess to remove recess. Remove screws at bottom from bottom of front panel into frame (located behind plastic recess) Remove screws along top edge of front panel. Tilt front panel forward and unplug door switch. Set front panel to the side.

hiii.....
If the power supply is supplying the main board with the correct amount of volts, your controller board or your on off switch panel is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. If its the whole board your looking at a few hundred unless you can find the same tv with a broken screen and just swap parts. The on/off switch board is cheaper but you have to remove alot of interior parts to access and becomes a hastle.
