Recently i have been getting a message about outlook mail not being able to connect to iCloud and a task box directing me to my iCloud preferences to verify my account.

However when I enter my password, the dialogue box remains greyed out and I cannot manage my iCloud account. This only is happening on my laptop.

How can I resset my iCloud? I put a wrong email so now it won't verify my account

You can always restore it to brand new.
You need a computer with iTunes and the charghing usb cable.
Before restoring make sure that the Find my iPhone app is off, otherwise after restoring it will give you the very same wrong email.
Once that is off, connect the ipad to the computer and click restore.
Once restore is complete, at very end you will be prompt with 2 questions:
1. Set iPad as brand new
2. Restore from (your name) back up.

At this iem you can choose either one, because Find my iPhone is off. And now you can change the email address.
It is your best option since it is way too difficult without restoring it.

My message envelope will not open

To restore the Envelope icon in the notification area follow these steps:
  1. Start Outlook.
  2. Click the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. On the Preferences Tab, click E-mail Options.
  4. Click Advanced E-mail Options.
  5. Click to select the Show an envelope icon in thenotification area check box.

    Note In Microsoft Outlook 2002, the check box is named Show an envelope icon in thesystem tray.

  1. On the File tab, click Options.
  2. Select Mail in the left navigation pane.
  3. In the Message arrival section, click to select the Show an envelope icon in the taskbar check box.

These are instructions for Outlook Express. E-mail programs vary, but most have an Options, Settings or Preferences menu or menu command to set your preferences in

Open Outlook Express. Go to the Tools menu. Click on Options. Make sure the General tab is selected. Check the "Play sound for new messages" box to hear when you have a new message. Check the "Send and receive messages at startup" box to automatically check for new messages each time you start your e-mail program. None of my sent messages will show up. My sent box is always empty when i click on it.

You havn't specified if you are using Outlook, Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail or you are using a Online Website to check the mail.

I am giving you the following steps do that hope that works...

For Windows Mail, Outlook, try these Steps:

1. Click on Tools (Press Alt and T together, if does not appears) on the the task bar on the top.

2. Click on Options. You will see a new window on screen.

3. In the Preferences tab you will see "E-mail Options", click on that. A new Window will open.

5. For Windows Mail you will find this option in Send Tab.

4. Check "Save copies of messages in Sent Items Folder". Then Click on Ok.
Again on Apply and Ok and that will be fixed.


***************************************************************************

If you are using a Online Mail Service then you will have a Option "Save a Copy" or something alike, make sure that is checked.

Are you using Yahoo or other 3rd party email or a client (like Outlook)? If you're using Outlook (or other client) you need to re-setup your email address and password so Outlook can connect with your email source.

In short:

Stop disabling links and functionality in all messages

1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. On the Preferences tab, under E-mail, click Junk E-mail.
3. Clear the Disable links and other functionality in phishing messages (recommended) check box.

Note If you decide to select this check box later, Outlook will disable all the links in messages that were evaluated as suspicious by the Junk E-mail Filter, and you will receive warnings about suspicious links.

Hotsynch manager does not list mail as a synch task

When you first install Palm Desktop, you have a choice of synchronizing with Palm Desktop or with Outlook.

It sounds like you chose Palm Desktop.

You have to uninstall Palm Desktop and Reinstall it.

There will be an option to synchronize with Outlook/Versamail so make sure to choose that.
