It could be the variable sound setting on the TV, auto-volume. It could also be your surround setting.

Why does the sound keep fading in and out when it shouldn't

There are 2 possibilities, one is your loosing your audio B+ voltage or you have an issue with the main board where the sound comes from...if you have a meter you can test the voltage with the set working correctly and see if it drops down when the sound goes out...if that voltage is ok then its a bad main board...One other question does the icon change on the TV when the sound goes down, like it it was on 10 does it drop to 1 or 0 when the sound goes out?

Hi Ansari
It sounds like a main board problem. The control voltage that goes to back-light inverter board; from the main board, goes down. Contact any service technician. This is not a user repairable fault. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

I have an ilo 32 inch tv and after its been on for 30 minutes or so the sound goes out, what can i do to fix this ?

tried to hooked up a powered pc speaker in the audio output jack. if the sound doesn't goes out after an hour that was mean the cause is bad amplifier circuit. if the sound still goes out you have bad sound processor circuit. this case can be hand held with a trained tv technician. if you don't have any idea just leave it to qualified repairman.

Sound goes out & speakers "disappear" from computer prefs panel

I would open it up (assuming it's a desktop pc not a laptop), and make sure the sound card (if it's an expansion card and not built-in to the motherboard), is properly seated (all the way in) in the expansion slot.

sounds like the DM3 isnt powering up the ballast to light the lamp or the ballast may be faulty. i would suggest trouble shooting the DM and ballast voltages.
