Hello, Thanks for using Supertooth. do the pairing as explained below: Your Supertooth BUDDY must be in pairing mode before searching from the phone. 1. From OFF, press and hold the On/Off button for 10 secondes until the Bluetooth Indicator turns blinking red/blue. The handsfree kit is now in pairing mode. 2. While the handsfree kit is in pairing mode, access the Bluetooth menu of your phone. Turn on the Bluetooth function and execute a Bluetooth search. (See your phone's manual.) 3. When the phone displays the list of Bluetooth devices, select ST BUDDY. 4. If the phone asks for the password/pin code, enter 0000 and press Ok. 5. The handsfree kit is now ready to use. Best regards. SUPERTOOTH
Make sure the Supertooth 3 is turned off. You can tell if the Supertooth 3 is on or off by looking at the light on the front. If the light is on or flashing, then the Supertooth 3 is on: turn it off by holding down the Multi-Function button (the green button) for about 5 seconds, until you hear the voice announce that the Supertooth 3 is powering down. With the Supertooth 3 off, hold down the Multi-Function button for about 6 seconds, until the light on the front of the unit starts flashing red and blue. The Supertooth 3 will now prompt you to select your language: press the Multi-Function button when you hear your language spoken. The Supertooth 3 is now in pairing mode.
Step 2: Apple iPhone
Now you need to use your iPhone to search for Bluetooth devices:
Select Settings. Select General. Select Bluetooth. Wait for your phone to search for devices, then select your BlueAnt device from the list. If you are prompted for a PIN, enter 0000 (four zeros). Select Connect.
I had the same problem as you. I took the following steps to solve it.
- Powered off both devices. - Turned on the Supertooth by holding the powerbutton until light alternates red/blue. - Turned on phone, enabled bluetooth. - Went to Connectivity->Bluetooth->(right)->options>"New paired Device".
It finally managed to pair the device. Had to enter pincode (0000, which is default for all supertooths).
On your phone, make sure bluetooth is turned on (settings, general).
While
your phone is in discovery mode, turn your bluetooth device on and put
it in discovery mode (usually you have to hold the power button for 7-10
seconds).
Your phone will find the device, and you will be
prompted to enter the devise's PIN number (often 0-0-0-0). Your phone
should pair with the device then.
