How do I remove a bios boot password off my Toshiba c55 laptop

Almost all motherboards use a small coin sized CMOS battery to store all BIOS settings along with the password.
To reset the password, remove the battery, open the cabinet and remove the CMOS battery, short circuit its terminals with piece of wire for few seconds only then put CMOS battery back and reassemble everthing back as it was.
It'll reset all BIOS settings as well as the password and you'll need to re-enter all settings again.
PS: DON'T DO IT IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO OPEN YOUR LAPTOP OR IF IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.

turn your laptop upside down and you will see a cover on the Right side with screws in it.Remove the screws and you will see the hard drive and usually the battery will be located on the left side.Unplug it,wait for a few seconds, then plug back in and replace the cover again. The password should not be needed anymore.

Bios menu password prompt get invalid entry

If its the bios password.

You may try to open-up the case and remove both the laptop battery and the CMOS battery inside to try to reset it to default and see if it gets cleared-up.

Otherwise the best way is to take it to Toshiba service center to resolve the issue as some BIOS are lock totally that they do not rely on the said CMOS battery anymore to store data. So they would need to literally access their ,main board for reset or if worse, it may even come to the need to replace the board itself.

Either way, In today's gadgets I recommend to make sure you have a copy of your passwords for BIOS, System and Log-in for safe keeping all the time.

Needs to removed bios password on C55-a5249

I just discoverd this and i will brag on being the first. This is what you do. First remove battery and cmos battery. Remove one ram chip (Lower) and leave upper ram chip in.Use whatever you like to jump these solder points. While shorting solder points with power cord plugged in, turn on power and check. Worked for me first try. I AM THE KING!
