I'm sorry if this question is in the wrong department as I am unable to set a department. I live in Titus County Texas, outside city limits so there is no leash law in effect. I have had repeated issues...

Sorry to say, but it may take an unfortunate incident to get things going. You need to keep a record of everything that happens with the dogs. Take pictures and video every time there is an incident. When you have overwhelming evidence to the problem then you may get help. There are several methods of keeping animals away, but your cats might suffer because of it. There are electronic devices which when motion is sensed will blink bright lights to discourage dogs. There are pellets that discourage dogs and other animals from entering a yard area. You can put up a fence, but that cost a lot of money. A cheap one wire electric fence could work, but keep the cats indoor until the dogs learn to keep away.

I have a trek 5200 OCLV Series with S/N WL0044613 what year is it.

You are already on the Internet, so do some research, which is what anyone here would have to do. Contact Trek - Trek Bikes The world best bikes and cycling gear Trek Bikes , Google "Trek serial number" or Google your model and look for images that match your bike, or check BikePedia

How do I de-code the serial number on my Trek 7.3 fx?

There is no "code". Trek stopped a coding process about 4 years ago. If you give me the serial number, starts with "wtu" I can tell you what year it is. I will have to wait until the trek dealer site is back up from maintenance. I work at a bike shop that sells almost exclusively Treks.

What year was my trek bike made if my S/N RMSF01155 was stamped on it

Trek's website has a customer service section. The closest you'll be able to get is within the year the headbadge made. Another suggestion is to check below the seat post for the selling bike dealer. Most bike shops keep records for warranty purposes

My seat post keeps slipping! I have put carbon paste etc but it is not working!

guna159-

If you're riding a Speed Concept then you're bike has an aero seatpost binder. If the binder bolt on the expanding wedge doesn't place enough friction against the seatpost, the seatpost will slip. If you don't know what I'm talking about, your local Trek service technician can help you out.

I have a 1973 Nova that has a bad automatic transmission. We also have an extra powerglide transmission that we thought we could exchange and put into the Nova. Is this an allright idea?

1974 is the last year of swapping transmissions without having second thought of doing so.
I would keep the THM 350 in it for the Powerglide trans is far worth more than the 72 Nova you have. These transmissions are getting so rare and gear heads are paying big bucks for them now
If you do plan to install this one in your Nova make sure the splines are exactly the came so the driveshaft fits. If not a different spline will be needed for your drive shaft
