Tv no raster no sound black only

Hi
Is the standby light (red) on? If not the fuse may be open or blown. If it is open circuit, try to replace it;; but if it is blackened something is wrong (short) in the power supply and associated circuits and need to be serviced.

I have an old flat-screen CRT Sharp TV. Model # 27U-F810 ; Serial # 204813681. It was working perfectly well yesterday. However, today I woke up to find out it doesn't turn on. I replaced the old batt

Look for a Power button on the TV and press that for a manual start. If the circuit breaker in your home for that outlet is not blown is not blown it would appear that the power supply seems to have died on the TV.

WONT TURN ON

Hello
Check the glass cartridge type, relpaceable fuse inside the Tv. This fuse can be located on the power regualtor section of the TV. Usually, it will come on the main board. If found blown up, never insert an other one, without point out the reason for the present fuse's blow up.

Curtis TV wont power on

Hello
Check the power supply regulator board inside. It has a fuse [ a glass cartridge type, replacable] on it. Check it for blown out. If found blown up, replace the fuse with same size and ratings. its ratings will be marked on it. If the newly inserted fuse blows off too, as soon as you switch the Set ON, never replace an other one in place, as it will damage more components.
make sure that the present power baord has some shorted component/s on it. It will be best to replace power regualtor boards as card basis, as components on it will be very hard to get from electonic spare part selling shops.

Tv will not turn on. Checked electrical and cable.

if you know that you have power and everything is ok otherwise than in the back of the tv there is a fuse. what it sounds like is that your fuse has blown. you will need to take the back of the tv off and look for the fuse and rep[lace it. please disconnect the power cord before attempting this....

Nothing works

The fact the set blows up the correct fuse is because it has a short ahead in the circuit,it could be one of the diodes(4) that is shorted,if one of these guys is bad all of them should be replaced with the exact replacement, ahead of them it should be a regulator and he is bad (shorted) it could have taken the diodes and the main fuse. The cause might have been a power surge. If you are familiar with tv service you can check the regulator and the diodes before you put in a new fuse,if you are not too familiar be safe and take the set for an estimate. If you suspect power surge or lighting damage it might not be worth repairing.Let Us know if you need more information.
