I have a 4-wire cable. And is installed according to instructions. But the digital portion of the range is not functioning, and this is the second (new) range I,ve tried. My old range was analog and also had a 4-wire instalation. All connections are pretty much straight forward, but obviously I,m doing something wrong

Are the three wires you are speaking of the 220volt power connection? This would be the pigtail to the outlet and how it is wired to the range. Which three wires are you speaking of?

Are you sure both hots & the ground are good and making connection in range receptacle? 2 stoves same problem sounds like problem. Could be one cartridge fuse if old wiring. Or loose wire if breaker box.

could you help on the installation of a frididaire - 8ce06d2.jpgThese are the configurations for four wire connectors. You need to identify which one you have, then check the voltage according to the diagram. More than likley, you will need to rewire with proper wire from fuse/breaker box. If one voltage is missing it could be a blown fuse on one pole but it sounds like it was never wired for four wire. Photo couortesy of Ugly's

This is because you will need a 4wire circuit which includes a common wire (white) for the 110v items to operate such as lights or panels.

Frididaire electric stove the oven has stopped working

Good Afternoon Friend, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

I understand you are experiencing an issue with the oven of your Frigidaire range. May I have your model number please? You can normally locate the serial tag (which provides your model number) in the storage drawer, on the right side. Also, think about what may have happened prior to this occurrence. For instance, did you notice any strange functions or any other error codes prior to this issue? Do the burners/elements work? With this information I can assist you better in pinpointing the problem.

Meanwhile, let's try resetting your range by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn your range on. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, could you please advise me if the issue continues or provides an error code. Thank you! -Z

On my Frididaire Glef396csb, when operating the oven, the light flickers on and off and the power to the oven also goes on and off.

Good Morning Cecil,

I see that you are having trouble with the light flickering on and off and also the power going on and off on your Frigidaire range, model# GLEF396CSB. You also stated that there is a clicking noise, as if the door switch is not connecting. There could be a couple of possibilities with these occurences.

First, make sure that you are connected to a 120 volt at a minimum of 40-50 Amp circuit breaker.
Second, there could be something going on with the different control boards miscommunicating.
Third, there could be something going on with the wiring inside the home.

In any case, I would start with resetting your range. You can do this by shutting the power off at the circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. When you restore the power, you will need to set the clock by pressing the "clock" button, entering in the time, then pressing the "Start" button. Once the clock is set, turn on the oven. If you are still having trouble from there, I would contact either the manufacturer or your local authorized technician. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Frididaire gas oven won't light

Does the cooktop burners work? if they do then the problem is either the safety valve or the glow plug (even though it glows). Try tapping the safety valve. If the oven lights up change the glow plug.Otherwise change the safety valve

Could be a problem in the thermocouple and the oven overheating. Get a good oven thermostat and check to see what the internal temp really is. You rack isn't too low is it? MM85
