Value and age of Singer Sewing machine?

This may help:

Singer Sewing Machine Company Serial Numbers

If it is the K number, there were 20,000 machines made. So, the likelihood is that there are still a lot of them around. Value is very subjective based on several things including the physical and mechanical condition, accessories included, rarity of the model, etc. FWIW, it seems that the wood cabinets really don't appear to add much, if anything, to the value.

My Singer model 780 does not pick up the bobbin threat. How do I correct this/

Very old is a relative term. I'm not finding anything under 780 or 6410. So we need to identify your machine. Can you post a picture?

Not picking up bobbin thread is usually one of several things. 1. Wrong needle size, blunted needle, or improperly installed needle. 2. Timing is wrong.

First of all the model number is needed with the make, if you can email a picture I could give you an idea

How old is my machine - serial no. V763688 With an attached table and cast iron treadle. ? The Product No. I have put it under is NOT correct - I do NOT know the model no. - only have the above serial no....

Hi, I suspect you wrote the serial number wrong. Here is where to look at the serial numbers and machines years.
The number you wrote is too high for the machines that start with a V. Check again.

Want to find out more about the machine.....

On most Pfaffs of that vintage, the model number will be clearly visible right on the front of the machine, usually 2-3 digits. There would also be a small tag with the model and serial number on it, usually on the right, rear or bottom of the machine.
