The engine is not getting enough fuel. Try choking it some and see if this helps. If it does, then check the fuel filters. If you still have problems, then you will need to clean the carburetor or open the main jet if it is adjustable. Modern small engines are se to run as lean as possible to keep pollution down. This is much worse on small engines shipped to California. If the carburetor and filter are clean and you still have the problem, take the carburetor to lawn mower shop and see if they will replace the main jet with one a little larger.
The rating of floor heater is 2500 watts, but how many amps are they pulling? Is the amp rating of heater higher than amp rating of generator? Just an idea. I have run into this on generators before as well.
the generator is rated for a certain static load. it may also have an intermitent loading. when the critical load value is reached the engine slows down because the load is too much. add together all the wattages of your loads to get a final load in watts and check against the nameplate wattage of the generator.
I think that your Honda has the so called "Automatic idle".
If the load falls under some minimal load (20 - 100 W) it automatically goes into it. This option has to be cancelled or adjusted, in order to handle small loads. Otherwise you should connect permanent load of 50 - 70 W in order to use your small consumers.
There is brake light switch located under the dash. It is inserted in a metal bracket that is a part of the brake pedal assembly. When you depress the brake pedal the pedal arm moves away from the brake switch allowing a spring loaded plunger to move out of the switch. As the plunger moves out of the switch a set of contacts close in the switch and turn the brake lights on.
You stated the 10amp under hood brake light fuse is good so check to see if you have power on the "orange" wire at the brake switch with pedal all the way up. Then press the pedal down and you should have power on the " light blue" wire going out of the switch.
We will start there, let me know what you find.
