SOURCE: Hayward pool heater H100ID keeps blowing GFI

First, I don't see any heaters in my parts wired thru a GFCI. Why did you resolder inputs on board. Usually, those are not repairs that are acceptable. If the pins have shorted, then you need to replace the board. Could be a problem with the ignitor, but this might be one that you will need to call a pro in for. Did you install the heater yourself???

Detergent not dissolving therefore some items not clean.

Jerry had two good First Checks with the water level and the temperature. Turn on the dishwasher and open the door after it completes filling and check the level and temperature.

A third possibility if the level and temperature are correct is that your dishwasher is not spraying enough water around. This could be due to a faulty pump, but more often I see a reduced spray from a clogged filter on the input to the pump.

You can check the amount of spray by waiting until it starts the wash cycle and open the door quickly. Water should be pouring off the upper rack and you should either have water come out of the door or have it be very close to spraying out.

Some dishwasher models have an easily accessible filter, others take some tools to get down to it.

My washer won't start. It is plugged it. It is a kenmore elite

First try a lamp or drop light in the outlet to make sure it works. Then make sure the controls are set properly like water level, water temp and timer set to start with knob pulled in and out. Also make sure the water inlet valves are turned on. Last is the door closing and hitting the switch ,if you slowly close the lid and listen you should hear the click.

My whirlpool Model wtw4850xq is not working. The spin light keeps flashing and it won't do anything when I push start other than lock the lid.

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Hi we have a kenmore model 110.15862400. it will fill up with water but it will not run. we had someone come out and look and it and they said it was the timer i think so we bought the new part and put...

Hello,
I believe the lid switch may be the problem. Before buying anymore parts that see if is is the lid switch by TEMPORARLY bypassing the lid switch and see if washer works. To bypass use a jumper wire UNLUG WASHER while placing in where the picture shows on the 2 OUTSIDE holes, reconnect power and see if washer works with jumper wire there, replace lid switch in the cabinet, the part where that circled plug goes into the cabinet.
The part number for the lid switch is 3949238 you can purchase it where you got the timer from
this video shows how to replace it http://www.youtube.com/user/RepairClinic?v=MFsvLiuTniU&feature=pyv&ad=5454771221&kw=lid%20switch

Starts to take water and stops...says dl

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

My list says 'dl' stands for Door Lock error. There is likely to be a problem with either the lid/door solenoid/lock or the 'lid/door closed' sensor becoming apparent with the extra movement of starting the water intake requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest. Sorry ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Machine whirlpool not filling whith water

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
This is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- the hot water one, if the washer is hot and cold fill, and the cold one if it is just cold fill!
Sorry but it needs replacing and a service call to confirm that it is not something else- like the control board not feeding the correct voltage to the valve ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

OUr 5 yr old duravit toilet is constantly running. Seems that tank water is seeping into bowl causing the mechanism to demand more water. Onl way to stop is to turn of water valve until we need. Before I...

if you can see the water running in the bowl it's a good chance that the flappers warn http://www.aplumbers.com/residential/toilet
1. tank the tank lid off.2. flush the rubber thing that comes up and allows the water to go to the bowl is the flapper 3. remove 4. replace that should fix it.
problem 2
1. tank tank lid off.2. if the waters flowing over the long tube in the center and down then the water level is too high3. adjust the level either it will have a ball **** or a float in either case   a ball **** adjusts by a screw on the fill valve. the float has a either a metal rod w/ a pinch clamp or a plastic long screw type thing.4. adjust water level .5. barely lift handle to allow a little water out til fill valve kicks on then release handle til valve stops .6. just keep re adjusting til you get the water level right there should be a molded in line for the level on the back of the tank.

GE super capacity heavy duty washing not filling w/hot water

On an older model washer, you probably have a bad water valve. (hot water solenoid coil electrically " open ") Newer models, now there's a can of worms. Some models use thermistatically controled water valves to limit water temps, so you may not be able to get true hot water. Also, if you are checking the temp as the machine fills, some models will only fill with cold if the lid is open. (safety feature) The only way to see what is really going on is to fill the machine with cold and use a thermometer to check the water temp, then, pump that out and fill (with the lid closed) with hot and check to see if that temp is higher. As stated previously, water temp may not really be " HOT " but may be warmer than " COLD ". That may be as good as you will be able to do, as all manufacturers are trying to reduce energy consumption. Thank your government.

Washer does absolutely nothing.

I would hope you have a VOM or DMM.

Check 10 amp fuse first. may be located near L1 black input from wall plug. If you do have a fuse then investigate for shorts and get a few fuses. (not all will have a fuse)

Set Conditions White Cycle/ Temp Control Off/ Water Cold Cold

With lid open 2 Red wires at lid switch to Grnd should be 120VAC (Red feeds water temp selection / Temp control). If 0 then your lid sw internal spring is no good. Red should always read 120 VAC with lid open or closed.

Close lid lid sw Yellow wire should be 120VAC to grd. This wire is motor feed line if Timer enables "T" contact. Motor is now waiting for timer to provide Path.

The "T" contact N to wire 16 provides a timer bypass.

YOu did not mention if the timer moves at all!

That should get you going!
