SOURCE: whirlpool calypso top load washer stuck on FL

Fl means flood
you either have a bad flood switch or something is in the pump.
the pump is located under the washer
if you where to tip back and remove the 3 5/16 inch screws and look to the very right you will see the pump.
it could be these 2 things and or it could be something in your sump balls. which you would need special tools to gain access to.
let me know if this helps

SOURCE: how do you remove the drain pump filter after

Hello there:
the Easiest way that i know of is
First you need to remove the lower axcess panel on the lower front this is done by
using a putty knife and on the on the left and right side of the lower left access panel on front of the machine there are small clips that need to be released press in and upwards on them to remove the rectangular inset.
you might have to remove 1 or 2 screws first if they are there
Next, you will want to make sure that the machine is pulled away from the wall about 2 to 3 feet and tilt it back so you will be able to reach under machine. Next, remove the Phillips screws you can see now that the plastic recess has been removed (not the two at the very bottom, the other ones). Reach under machine and remove pump assembly, which is held in place with a plastic tab on the bottom. If you break the tab, don't worry, it's not really needed as the screws will hold the pump assemble in place just fine. You should now be able to disconnect the electric wire plug and remove the hoses clamped onto the pump. Pump motor is a separate replaceable part.

SOURCE: I need a free manual

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Sorry but this forum does not supply manuals direct; it's just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home, with experience of addressing problems.
What you will need to do is to type into your search engine/web browser '(make) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount. During the process you will be asked for the actual model number!

Good luck,

John C

Where is my pump filter whirlpool duet front load washer

When your Whirlpool washing machine won't drain, there's a possibility that the drain filter is clogged. The drain filter is designed to catch lint, change, credit cards and all the other things that find their way into the washer. Whirlpool washer models that have a drain pump filter are easy to disassemble so that you can access and check it. Before you go to the minimal amount of trouble it takes to check the filter, however, take a look at the drain hose behind the washer to ensure it isn't kinked.
1 - Unplug the washing machine. Lift the front end and place two-by-four blocks under each foot to keep the front elevated. 2 - Unscrew the three screws at the bottom of the panel, using a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the panel. The drain pump assembly is directly in front of you, in the middle of the machine. 3 - Unscrew the knob on the drain pump by turning it counterclockwise. Hold a bucket in front of the pump while you remove the knob to catch the water. There may be as much as 2 or 3 gallons. 4 - Turn the knob over. The filter is on the back. Check the filter and remove any debris or lint. Replace the drain filter onto the pump. Screw on the access cover. Take the machine off the blocks and plug it in.

The washing machine will not do the rinse cycle please give me an idea or any ideas to help fix the problem

Check the lid switch. This is the most common issue with washers not going into the spin cycle. If this is a front loader it could be either the lid switch or drain pump filter located underneath the tub, Remove the front panel and you should see a plastic cap on the filter, just unscrew it and clean it out. Check the lid switch with a pen or small screwdriver to see if it is clicking. Sometimes with the lid open you can run a cycle and push the switch in to see if this makes a difference.

FL code on a Calypso Whirlpool washer

FL= Flood Condition
FL flashes if any overfill condition

occurs. This condition occurs when

excessive water in the tub causes the

overfill switch to trip. The control must

realize that the trio was due to an

overfill condition instead of a suds lock

condition in order for FL to be displayed.

With an overfill condition, the beeper

repeats a warning every 10 seconds with no

time out. The pump is cycled in drain mode

for 30 secondson 30 seconds off untill the

overfill switch resets or power is

discontinued to the unit.

Note: Press STOP/CANCEL to clear display on all error codes

Causes of flood condition. Inlet valves

stuck on, Sediment in water level pressure

tube.

Other codes:
PF power failure
Er control lost settings during PF
LF Long fill Clogged inlet screens
CE Com error between motor and control
Ld Long drain Clogged/slow drain/pump
CA/CI Motor amping up
ob off balance load
Sr relay failure no control to motor
LS Lid switch no signal from lid switch, error occurs if the motor and control disagree as to the position of the lid switch. Usually means corosion is buit up in the switch and the motor knows the lid is shut but the control does not. Cose appears when start button is pressed.
open lid= flashing display time If the lid is opened time remaining flashes in display. Close lid and press start to continue.
SL Suds Lock Current draw on motor is sensed by motor control and a suds lock is declared The control trys 3 times to fix this by doing a mini cycle, SL is displayed if the unit was unable to correct the problem. This problem is caused by:
Bad pump
Extra heavy load
Excessive detergent
or Excessive suds/wrong stuff

The drain pump has become blocked.
Remove the bottom access panel by removing 3 screws along the bottom. There you will find a pump filter that you can unscrew and remove debris. UNSCREW AND DRAIN SLOWLY as there will be lots of water to catch..
