There's a backdraft damper located in the ductwork either right at the fan, or where it exits the building. The grease filters could be plugged, or the fan itself could be plugged with grease also. If vented to the outdoors, the vent could be blocked by birds or other critters. Does the fan sound 'normal'?

check the vent is not restricted. I had had one where the installer accidentally stopped the butterfly flap from opening with a fixing for the flue. Also one where builder squashed the pipe in the roof. Another where there was no pipe from hood, not moving air at all, just a noise maker!

Bosch dke 935 90cm hood. light and extractor not working

The fuse will be located in the switch or socket that the hood is connected to. This is sometimes inside the flue on the back wall. There should be two small screws either side of the chimney located at the top, unscrew and slide one part of the chimney down, please be careful as stainless steel has very sharp edges.

Hoods should blow out from the chimney, its defianately not a wiring problem. If it is blowing down towards your cooker instead of sucking up then you should contact Range as it could be a manufacturing fault.

Hi Debra,

It sounds as if you may have air or water vapour in your gas line or burner. I suggest you contact your gas supplier or the manufacturer of the oven to get professional advice.

filters required only if you are venting inside your house (ie recirculating the air), if it is going outside, then you don't need them.
