SOURCE: Washing machine not filling with water not washing but will empty and will spin

like the anchor idea?, no sorry, this does sound like the water is not getting to the machine, so, when you turn the machine on does it make a slight buzzing noise, if so the fault is no water in the pipes to the machine (from the house), if no buzzing check the solenoids with a multimeter for open circuit (removing the 2 wires first) oh and the plug obviously / replace solenoid if needed, i am sure this will cure your problem, if so rate me please, thank you

SOURCE: lg wm2277h has low water level

The water level is very low on front load machines. (Below the bottom of the door) While the washer is running, push and hold the "spin speed" and "soil level" buttons at the time. Display should be between 230 and 255.(normal) If you do this while the machine is filling, you will see the numbers change. This machine only uses about 12 gallons of water for an entire cycle, vs. about 45 for some top loading machines. THIS IS NORMAL ! The machine will adjust the amount of water based on the type and volume of clothes in your washer. On a large load, you will see wet clothes, but no water sloshing around. PS. Because the machine uses so little water, make sure you use only one tablespoon of HE detergent (and only one teaspoon of fabric softner if you use it). This is very important.

If this info was helpful, please rate it as a "FixYa". Thanks.

SOURCE: Maytag A512 Leaks out airgap when draining/spinning out

Check pump. I would say it is the most likely cause for the water leak, especially if itdoes it while filling and on spin as the pump holds some residual water in it . That is normal.

SOURCE: water keeps running through washing

At what height is your exit hose. It should be approximately 3 feet up from the ground and then into the drain. This is rule one for all washers, it cannot be at floor level - your water will just flow out.

Water keeps filling and overflowing when turned on but will stop when turned off, how can I fix this?

Could be a faulty fill switch. The fill switch is often an air pressure switch. As the tub fills a small internal air pressure is created which is sent to the switch via a small hose that sometimes becomes blocked or displaced.

If not it is possibly a fault with the control board.

several reasons --tap not turned on---- solenoid that controls the water valve is burnt out--- and the water level control is registering full all the time.. Check that the tap has not been turned of---check that the little filter in the hose at the tap end is not blocked---change hot to cold hoses and see if hot water solenoid works. disconnect small tube to level controller and see if it opens the water solenoids.

Washing machine says it does not have water supply, the water is not hot

the level measurement may be blocked. At the back there should be a small pot connected to the drum by a tube. if the tube is block
ec then it won'tdetect that there is enough water to turn the heater on

Water won't shut off on fill

There may be something blocking the pressure tube which measures the water level. This is a tube which runs from the bottom of the drum up to the water level sensor. Disconnect the tube at the drum and check, also blow in the tube and check the water level sensor is working, it should make a clicking sound.

Washer water level fills past capacity and over flows

if the water is not shutting off - then the problem is a blocked ' water level sensor tube ' or a bad 'water level sensor '- - - remove the back panel of the machine and you will see a small plastic tube that is connected to the outer drum,, remove this plastic tube and clean and clear anything that might be in there -- if the line is clear, then the problem is the sensor itself,, check the wires to the sensor and make sure they are connected,, if all looks good - then remove the sensor and take it down to your local appliance repair shop and buy a new one and install it into the machine,, hook everything back up and test the machine --- all should be good to go.

Door can not be opened cos the spinning function does not work

Check the water level switch. If the tube is blocked, than the membran inside can't see the pressure. pressureswitch1.jpgIt's looks like this. Some machine's have more than one and some have more contact's which means that they can measure more than one water level. In most cases you have to take off the top cover of the machine to locate it. Take off with care the tube and blow towards the pump to remove a block.
To test the water level switch you need a multimeter in resitance Mode ( Ohm) to measure the contacts of the switch. If you gentle into the switch you can hear when the membran switches the contacts - on the multimeter you should see a change ( 0 if contact is closed - 1 if the contact is open). If nothing happend then the switch is faulty and have to be replaced. DO NOT TURN THE SEALED SCREWS on the switch. I hope this could help.

Starting a wash, tub overflows and keeps filling...

Sounds like there's a water level sensor problem. The water level sensor works by reacting to the air pressure in a tube connected to the tank. You need to open up the control panel. You may need to remove some screws, but on some machines you can "pop it" by prying it up with a putty knife. You'll find that the water sensor is the back of the knob that controls the water level. If it's a digital machine the sensor will be somewhere else but connected to a clear plastic tube. The first thing you should check is to unplug the tube from the sensor, and blow in it to make it's not just clogged with lint. If the tube flows freely, you'll need to replace to the water level sensor. This is pretty easy to do.

Kenmore 80 Series- Washer does not fill up with water before it starts washing.

Check if the volume of water supplied to the washer from the water line through the hoses attached to it is good. If yes, the screen inside the water-inlet valve if it is clean. If clean, the water inlet valve is defective and you need to replace it. The water inlet valve is located inside the washer on the upper back portion. It is where the water supply hoses are attached to.

Nec nw452 washing machine water level does not stop. It overflows even when I put it on low level load. I keep having to turn the machine off and bail the water out into the sink.

I have just fixed this issue on my machine. Empty the machine by using the program options to spin only. Turn off power. Remove the plastic back plate then the silver back plate. Looking at the rear of the machine bowl, right hand side is a plastic tube which runs to the top right hand side of the machine. This is the water level sensor tube. Check if it is broken or blocked. Mine was broken near the top of the machine. I removed the lid (becareful to take note how the spring fits in with the leid for when you replace it. Remove the control panel cover. I saw the water level sensor (looking from the rear of the machine) to the right. It is brown and has one connector which needs to be disconnected (red and white connectors). Then the water level sensor is removed from its housing by unclipping the two clips. Once removed I replaced the tube and then put it all back together.
