Question about ASUS M2N-E SLi Motherboard

1 Answer

Vista and Ventrilo

When I was running XP, I used the thumb button on the mouse for a push to talk key. Now that I am running Vista, it will not work. I have the mouse button mapped to the key pad #9. I can use the keypad #9 as the push to talk key.

How do l install wireless mouse.without cd l misplaced it.

If it's windows XP, Vista, or 7, try plugging it in. Windows may already have drivers for your mouse. Naturally you should make sure you have fresh batteries in the mouse & keyboard, then push the connect button on the dongle (the part that plugs into a USB port) and push the "connect" buttons, usually a red button on the bottom of keyboard and mouse.
If it still doesn't work try posting specific information on your mouse & keyboard and I'm sure someone will help you find it.

I have a wireless hp mouse and i cant connect to the piece you put into usb port. i push the connect button and a red light comes on to signal its searching for the piece, but it wont connect and Ive tried...

NO PC stated, (wow1)
NO OS stated (XP , VISTA , what?) Never post lacking this KEY FACTS. or you force the helper to GUESS.! (wrong)
wireless has many problems in this domain. (wireless most)(BLUTOOTH ORE OTHER WISE)
as do matching drivers to the mouse on unstated PC.
why post lacking what you own there, in total>?

this mouse has HP support on XP./VISTA and windows. 32 or 64bit
that is in fact 6 drivers total and NO MORE.
so go there get them (1 of 6) and load it?
get it while not delete, as it surely will be SOON.

the mouse can be bad. too. (clean it? yet)
or the USB port dead.
so try all usb ports see if the driver loads.
try mouse on other PC. W7 bet the best PC to get it working
as W7 has full support end to end, not older OS of any kind.

if using XP or VISTA the Microsoft servers are shut down now
for drivers, (not updates ,old) but they are killing online PnP support.
last month i tested this and 1/2 are gone, (roughly and MS told me so)

lets say you run W7
so try all usb ports
then make sure you are internet connected, or PnP will be DEAD
and the poor thing cant load unknown drivers lacking an internet connection (unless i teach you how to force load them and will not now)

If the mouse fails on W7 machine, with usb ports working
buy a new one for $5 off fleabay,? splurge?

Aopen 0-35G Optical 5 button Mouse

I just started using this old mouse that I had & I have Vista 32bit. By default only the 2 buttons would work but I did install the R3.32 drivers and now everything is working including both scrolls. Worked even though they are XP drivers. Hopfully they will work with your Vista version. Reboot required.

I had to reinstall my windows xp and my mouse does not work

First, XP (assuming you have XP--although Vista should act just the same), recognized this type of mouse automatically. All you have to do is plug in the sending unit (a USB device) and Windows should say it found new hardware and install it for you. You then make sure there are batteries in the mouse and turn it on (if it has a switch) and push the little button on the bottom of the mouse that says "connect."
You should then be in business.
Some sending units have a button on them to locate the device--after the mouse is turned on, you push that button and then the mouse button.
Hope that does it for you.

Centrios X7 gaming mouse

It should work on Vista 32-bit. It says explicitly in the manual that it WILL NOT work with 64-bit Vista. I think you're out of luck, dude.
