Alcatel one touch pop icon. My wifi works fine, but when I turn off the wifi and turn on the data connection my phone says no internet connection, and yes I do have data. Help Please.

Sounds like maybe your data needs to be rebooted. On your phone turn off the WiFi and data, then turn your phone off for 30 seconds. When you turn your phone back on wait an additional 30 seconds before you turn data back on. After the 30 seconds test your data and see if it's working. If still not working you could have an app or something causing your phones rams to be high. And even then just reboot your phone and it should work.
Hope this is helpful

How to turn off GPRS setting Nokia Lumia 520?

You can do 3 things on Nokia Lumia 520
1) to use Data Sense (an windows app) to control your mobile data usage by limiting it to a certain level like 100MB a month or something.
2) to turn mobile data usage off on your phone, by going to Setting> Mobile Network then choose "off" option for Data Connection.
3) to contact your Mobile Network ISP & request a Data Connection deactivation.

I have no wifi so will i connect with wifi on my mobile

you are not required to have wifi at your home or anywhere else, there are wifi hotspots such as Mcdonalds and other places. If the data on her phone is turned on you can pick up the wifi on your phone which may cause you to have data charges on your bill. You should be able to turn your wifi off so that this does not happen you may also be able to turn off your data under your setting>cellular>cellular data and then you will not be able to connect to any data at all. Hope this helps

You cannot natively speed up the data on the device aside from connecting to wifi. If your data is moving extremely slow or not connecting to 3G then you need to contact your cell phone provider. Also make sure that in Settings - General- Cellular Data - Turn 3G data

Connecting to the Internet When you turn your phone on for the first time (with the SIM card inserted), it should connect automatically to your mobile operator's data service. You can start browsing the web straight away.
Checking your current data connection settings Your phone has been set to connect automatically to the Internet through your mobile operator's data service. If you don't get a connection automatically, check your network connection settings.
  1. From the main Home screen, press MENU, and then tap Settings > Wireless controls.
  2. Make sure that Mobile network is turned on.
  3. Tap Mobile network settings, and then check the following:
    • Automatic setup is turned on.
    • The name of your mobile operator is displayed in the Network operators item.
    • The right mobile network is displayed in the Access point names item. If it's not the right network, see your phone's user guide to find out how to add a new access point.
Turning the data connection off You can turn off the data connection to help optimize your phone's battery life or to save money on data charges.
  1. From the main Home screen, press MENU, and then tap Settings > Wireless controls.
  2. Turn the data connection off by tapping the Off/On switch of Mobile network. (Tap this switch back on if you want to connect to the Internet again.)

Data connection refused

Hi,

After cancelling the data plan with the wireless service provider, the message Data connection refused appears at the top of the Home screen on the BlackBerry smartphone instead of the branding of the wireless service provider.

This is caused may be you were previously subscribed to a data plan through a wireless service provider, and the BlackBerry smartphone is still configured to attempt to access the data network.

To resolve this issue, you need to turn off the Data Services feature on the BlackBerry smartphone. To perform this, you need to complete the following steps:
  1. From the Home screen, open the Options menu.
  2. Click on Mobile Network or Network.
  3. Set the value of the Data Services field to Off.
  4. Open the menu and select Save.
  5. Return to the Home screen.
  6. Turn the wireless transceiver off and then on again.
To enable (turn on) the wireless transceiver on the BlackBerry device, go to the Home screen and select the Turn Wireless On icon or open Manage Connections and select the wireless connection to be enabled. Once enabled, the icon will display Turn Wireless Off .

To disable (turn off) the wireless transceiver, go to the Home screen and select the Turn Wireless Off icon or open Manage Connections and select the wireless connect to be disabled. Once disabled, the icon will display Turn Wireless On.

I Hope it helped you.

Thank you for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
