We bought the Samsung dishwasher Model DW80K2021US. We tried for hours to find the place to where to attach the hotwater line to it. We could not find it. Could you please help us locate it.

if it's only 3 months old then it's still well under warranty, call either the manufacturer, the place where you bought it or who installed it and it will be fixed for free or replaced.

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. You may have to replace the fill valve.Sediment from the hot water tank will block up the filter screen in the valve. You can unhook the water line and try to clean it before buying a new one.

It is possible the dishwasher inlet is set for low water pressure.

Check the water pressure setting matches your inlet water pressure.
It might help if you provide the model number of the dishwasher.

1. Close hot water valve behind washer.
2. Remove hot water line from washer side and place it in the drain.
3. Open hot water valve to ensure pressure and hotwater is ok in your drain.
4. If not, problem is home related.
5. If pressure and hotwater are ok, then see if your fill valve filter is clogged where you disconnected the hotwater hose attached to the machine.. Its called a fill valve. Sometimes they get clogged.
6. If the hot water side of fill valve looks ok with no blockage, then you might be looking at a new fill valve.

It sounds like a little piece of trash (precipitated solids in the water line) have gotten in the water valve, or, the fill switch has failed.

If you know how to use a voltmeter, then see if there is voltage always applied to the water solenoid. If not, the water solenoid valve is bad. If it does have voltage all the time (when it's not supposed to be filling) then it's the fill switch.

ok ...you have a wee bit of a problem...a new dishwasher even a floor model has a warranty..just call for service...best buy will send someone,,,now all units come with everthing accept electrical cord,,,i could only find drain hose part number 8269144,,but for owners manual go to servicematters.com..last just go back to best buy and find your model and see if you can get part number off installation kit..inside new unit.../

I eventually unhooked the hotwater line where it comes in below the sink in order to give the slack I needed to hook it up to the elbow on the front of the dishwasher...then slid it into the 24in. space, but found that my hotwater line was 4 inches short! A trip to home Home Dept to buy more line and connectors solved the trick and now it is all hooked up and works with no leaks.
