SOURCE: minolta dimage 7i fix

I just found a solution to my camera problem. It turned out to be the batteries. We purchases some Rechargable Duracel with a 2650mAh rating. After charging the batteries I put them in the camera and it started right up and was taking photos like when we first bought it. I have not been able to use the camera in almost 2 years and it turns out the problem was weak batteries.

So anyone that has a Minolta Dimage 7i and cant get it to turn on make sure you have at least 2650mAh rated rechargable batteries. The higher the mAh rating the better.

Hope this helps someone else. We are ecstatic that we can use our camera again. No more using my camera phone!!!

SOURCE: Loud Pop, blown Breaker

Pull the unit away from the wall and inspect from rear. However, if all is fine, perhaps you simply overloaded the circuit that once. Were you running any other appliances (overhead microwave) at the same time?

It sounds like the heating element is faulty. If it has a short, it will have a damaged place. A short causes a build up of amps until it can't take anymore and then a action will happen like a fuse blowing, which it the noise you hear. You can get replacement elements on Amazon fairly cheap. To fix, unplug the stove. Lift and tug on the element to pull it out of the socket. It is usually easy.

Two days ago my hampton bay fan made 4 or 5 popping sounds, sparked and smoked for about 3 seconds. but works perfectly do i clean it, and carrry on or do i have to worry about it?

hi.

DO NOT USE THIS FAN. disconnect if possible.

any spark, smoke and popping noises from any electrical items MUST be treated as highly suspect and a possible fire risk, until professionally tested and given the all clear.

it may just be a few bits of dust burning off, but it MUST be checked before you can assume it is safe.
sparks and smoke with a little dust or grease can cause a fire.

i AM trying to frighten you into doing something rapidly, as this could be a serious fire risk, and must be considered dangerous until tested and proven to be safe.
i would not be doing my job responsibly if i did not make this point absolutely clear

Fridge keeps tripping breaker and I hear a loud pop

Unplug and keep unplugged until the short circuit is found. COULD BE:
Line cord coming in is bad. A wire is bare touching chassis. A shorted motor capacitor. A shorted Compressor. A shorted wire to cooling fan. You could start a fire or get shocked, be careful.

"Poof" Washing Machine Began Smoking, now displays no evidence of getting power!"

maybe not...try replacing the main pcb first. but heres a tip...look at the plastic holder of the main board, do you think water could drop inside the board?...if you think so then better think of a cover that could prevent the water from entering the board. coz that's what happened before... sometimes suds overflow and make their way to the board thru the wires or simply dropping to the board directly... i hope i was able to help....
