I had the same problem and eventually found the solution. the tact switches behind the front panel buttons will leak when they get old causing them to activate on their own. your channel up or down button is stuck on. take off the back cover and you will see a small clip in circuit board behind the front panel. take out the board and remove the channel up or down switch and your set should work fine again. the remote will still work fine for changing the channels.

I suspect one of the buttons on the front of the TV is stuck. Best thing to do is try playing around with them while the set is in operation and see what happens. If that doesn't seem to be the case then you have a diode or capacitor on one of the control lines that is shorted or leaky causing this to happen. This would require a technician to troubleshoot that issue. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thank you...

Hi check to make sure the antenna is connected correctly. try tunning the channels manually and if they come up you can save them one at a time. Also try moving the antenna to a different location. make sure the TV is set to scan on the same input that you are connecting the antenna. If all that fails ou might have a defective tuner board.
You can get parts for this tv at www.interliquidparts.com

Tips for a great answer:
Well im not an expert on this but by wife keeps deleting channels... you can just go to setting and anything the reads channel search or digital search just run it or scan... your tv will scan all channels... make sure that your antenna is connected or digital receiver... when you tv searches it needs something connected to the input of the tv antenna... you can try goggling it too
