Question about Grilling

Open Question

What causes the LEr code to show on the display?

Also, the last few times I have tried to grill, I can't get the temp above 350 and sometimes it goes completely out. When I took everything out it was full of pellets inside the fire box.

SOURCE: Controls lost mind -- keeps asking for probe temp

Houston, we have a problem... Your electronic relay control, (ERC), is shot, kaput, no bueno and must be replaced in order to correct your situation. The ERC part number is 3191106, and retails for ~305.00 dollars! (I kid you not). I guess now is the time you might consider replacement over repair. That's a good question. If you choose to proceed with the repair, repost and I'll help with details on how to do it.

SOURCE: I have 2 issues with my '99 300M climate control -

no ,the climate control assembly has a problem of shorting out to black, sometimes a good hit brings it back for awhile.the blower motor problem is the blower motor resistor,if you under the dash, behind the glove box you will find the blower motor, follow the motor wire about 10 inches away from motor and they plug into the faulty resistor.

SOURCE: grill won't heat up above 200 DEGREES with a nearly full tank

I have a brand new weber grill genesis...It happened to me...I have a 3 burner...light the first burner on high....then turn down to medium...then light second burner on high...turn down to medium....then the 3rd burner on high...turn down to medium.....wait 5 seconds and bring them all to high. Apparently since they are larger burners it gives a chance for the gas pressure to equalize. I haven't had a problem since doing it that way. Don

Euro Pro F1066 keeps heating up well beyond the set temp. I can set the temp for 350 and it will go well beyond that temp.

I would try setting it for 300 and watch where it goes. If it goes above 375 turn it off. If it does it may be possible to calabrate the thermostat. If not replace it. I do not know this unit.

The traegger will not heat up past 350 degrees

Unfortunately, it's not realistically designed to heat above 250 -275 Degrees F. No matter what they call it, it's still a smoker, more than it is a grill. Even the Owner's Manual says the the optimal operation temperature is 180 to 200 degrees F. It's not designed to sear steaks.

Perhaps, if it was made of cast iron, rather than sheet steel, you could get the temp up past 350 degrees. If you really want a true smoker/grill, pay $700 to $800 and buy a Big Green Egg. And you wont have to buy some specialized pellets to burn in it. Just good old fashioned lump charcoal or wood chunks.

I wish I had better news for you, but it is what it is. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Air temp indicator only reads temps below 50 degrees

Ambient air temp sensor could be the cause. Normally located in front grille area.

Back Burner sometimes goes out when close grill -relights wn open

The new style2_bing.gif OPD valves have a small brass ring located in the female fitting on the LP tank. Over time this ring can work loose and then it does not allow the male fitting to fully depress the OPD valve thus reducing your gas flow
Using a small flat bladed screw driver tighten the small brass ring This should solve your problem
IF not you might want to remove the cap (white) on your regulator and try slowly adjusting the regulator, make small adjustments and try the BBQ My Weber if I set the front and back burners to MED I get right at 350 degrees in 60 degree outdoor temps. Adjusting the regulator will take some time to get it right but If it is not your tank it is most likely your regulator out of adjustment

Porr heating of grill

This will take a bit of time but you need to clean out your gas tubes, You local hardware store will have a small round brush for this purpose, use a stiff small wire first them brush out everything that will come out. This will require you to disassemble the grill quite a bit.
If after it is cleaned it still does not come up to temp, them you can ever so gently adjust the air flow meters on each burner until you get the temp up

Raypack pool/spa heater works intermittently

You can try pulling your pilot assembly out and clean it. Sometimes it will get sooted up and cause the sensor to short so the heater get's a falce reading and shuts the heater down. Then sometimes the heater will start and sometimes it won't. If this dosen't help check the ignition wire for any cracks or anyplace it may be shorting. Good luck.
